My husband and I invited some friends who were new to the area to meet us at Dave's. It was so much fun to see them begin to notice and appreciate all the small things that make Dave's feel like home. In today's world of virtual this and virtual that, Dave's puts us in touch with reality. What a blessing.

Love this gem! I ordered the country style steak and mp , fried okra and dark gravy, it came with toasted bread. I also had the garden salad side ordered a hotdog with chili and slaw and the best wedge ffs in the triad for later on . The ranch is also key to dip with fries. My preference. They even have a drive through . I know they have a great salad bar inside but when you’re in a hurry and want a great dinner , you should visit backyard grill.

READ THIS: first of all, please note that this coming from a teenager that works in the food industry. As I have experienced first hand what it is like working in both kitchen and service roles, I know the ends and outs of what is expected in restaurants no matter their standards. Especially when it comes to sanitation policies. I should not be watching you pick up the cheese to put on my chicken sandwich with your BARE HANDS! NO GLOVES!! That is absolutely unacceptable. While waiting on my food for 20 mins, I did not one time see any of them even pick up a glove. I continued to watch the kitchen workers touch food with their hands that who knows when the last time they washed their hands was. This is disgusting. Do you really want to go to a restaurant where men are picking up your food with their bare hands???I don’t think anybody does. This is very disappointing.

This is a great little roadside diner. Small town feel where the staff goes out of their way to learn their customers!
Went there for lunch with my coworker. Love the idea of the place but the food was average at best. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings. Stand fare. My buddy had the special, meatloaf plate and 2 sides. Said he liked it and it was good.
