I see postings for this all the time on the local FB group. A few of us decided to stop here for lunch on Sunday 12/7, It was a significant disappointment.

Let’s break this down-

The name is ribeyes, however, the Ribeyes that come out of the kitchen are a tad bit thicker than an iPhone. When One reads the menu and sees 10 ounce ribeye, they do not know expect paper thin. Waffelhouse would be a comparing competition on steaks.

Steak fries- while these do have the high potential to be excellent, you literally get 7 of them. They are average sized - about the size of a finger. However they have no seasoning and are mushy on the inside.

The burgers - $17 for a patty of grease (pressed it down and had enough oil to lube a cam shaft). Again, no seasoning like salt no pepper, just the taste of oil. I will say the patty was of significant size. It was definitely thicker than most average restaurants. The biggest downfall was the amount of grease that made the bun super soggy.

Salad bar - salad bar is typically what you would expect. My only complaint is the limit of one trip. This encourages people to get their moneys worth by making massive plates, causing shortages of some items. I didn’t see one plate, including my own that was not loaded like a mountain.

Service- drinks were full.

The atmosphere is ok- I would not say it’s warm and cozy. I would say it’s one where they know their food is a double bogey status on a par 3- so they attempt to flaunt the only assets they have which are their servers. Additionally , the servers know very little about the food they’re selling. And do not have the desire to go ask questions when customers are curious.

For the quality and price - your best off driving to Wilmington.

We like just about everything here but if you get here after 5:30 or if they have a party you wait time could be a hour or more. We normally get here about 4:30 and have a good experience but past 5 forget it. They need a bigger grill and kitchen.

Chicken wings tasted like they were cooked this morning and just added sauce. Didn’t like the fact that they were all drumsticks.

I got food poisoning by this business. I called and told them what happened and they were not concerned. Will never eat there again. This happened last night 10/8/25.

What has changed??? We had a party of 5 in March and the only problem we had was a Steak was over cooked but corrected quickly....the food was amazing..... Today, October 8, my husband and I both ordered Steak, steak fries and a salad. His steak was supposed to be 12 oz extra well done and mine A10 oz medium well. First, the salad bar was great even though it has been down sized from the past years. When our diner arrived, we asked for A1, Hines 57 and Ketchup. they were bought promptly. My husband's steak is extra well done but was extra small, my steak looked like a 10oz steak that was done not medium well (no pink in it). They were also seasoned with something other than salt, pepper or garlic, looked and tasted like Ms Dash which was not the normal grilled steak taste we normally get. The steak Fries were more like potato wedges that were extra brown, not crispy and still coated in cooking oil that a napkin could soak up, and tasted burnt. The Hines 57 was normal, but the A1 didn't taste like A1, more like the off brand and the same with the ketchup which did not help the steak fry wedges either. The toast was the best thing on our dinner plate. Ribeyes has always been a special treat for us because of the $$$$....I have always been so excited to get to go. Sadly after today's experience and the $$$$ it will be a long time before we return.... so sad because this was my favorite steak place.

When we want our steak whether it be filet or New York strip or even our burgers medium rare or just medium, they make it that way. Great food, great service. You can't go wrong here.

Ahhhh...don't go...service wasn't good it was more of a hangout for the kitchen staff to hang out front...guess that's why it to so long to get our food....if you're coming through clinton bypass and take the 30 extra minutes and come to dunn..waffle house has better food...If you put the entire staff together they couldn't put together a 10 piece puzzle ..for a minute I thought it was snowing inside but realized it was the dust build up on the ceiling falling down..
