One of my favorite places. Lately the chicken fingers are shrinking in size, but not price! It frustrating to get an 8 piece and it looks like 5.

Not what you would expect, order your in one building and then go next door to another building and sit military style, fabulous concept. Great food and the line waiting only testify to the quality

Son got married 7/27/24 trusted southern style for our catering they did a beautiful job food was delicious and priced very good. everyone loved it, had a good turnout would recommend this to everyone and I will call on them again in the future

I live in Beaufort, NC but have family in Fayetteville, NC. This restaurant is on my route back and forth. I have passed it a hundred times noticing a huge line for the takeout. I made it my mission to try this place on my way home. I ordered the 2 piece fried chicken with cole slaw and potato salad. The lady taking my order was friendly and welcoming. It came out hot and fresh. I guess because the chicken pieces were on the smaller end of sizes, it was actually a 3 piece meal (one of the pieces was hidden under the thigh piece). The chicken skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. The coleslaw and potato salad was home made and delicious. The hush puppies were great. I will be back and I will try the barbecue next. Highly recommend!

Food was great but you order in one building and have to walk across parking lot to dinning room.. i can not imagine eating there when it is raining or really cold and have to walk outside to a dinning room..BUT food and service was exceptional

I just paid $30.00 for their BBQ Steak which I ordered medium rare. Minutes later he came out to ask me if I preferred more well done than less well which I requested less well. He called out to the cook that my steak is ready.It came out as a half inch thick steak no where near anything near rare, and so tough I had to spit out blobs of unchewable fat that I had to leave the blobs of fat and two thirds of the remaining steak on the plate
All this for $30.00. No tip included of course

The food was not fresh at all. Canned greens that were mushy. Sweet potatoes that were definitely out of a can, all the same size. The fish(?) was dry. The hush puppies were greasy.
Did management change? New cooks? What has happened? ?

We spent around $50 combined here for 3 people and ordered a sampling of the BBQ special, large fish, chicken tenders, banana pudding and sides including fries, hush puppies, and green beans.
We had higher expectations for this place due to the high reviews and business relative to other places in this area, but I have to say the food here was average at best. The chicken was soggy, the bbq was slightly dry, the fish was run of the mill and everything else was average. For the price you pay you won't be disappointed, but don't come here expecting a Southern BBQ gem.

Large fish plate was perfect! 4 large pieces of flounder baked beans and Yams! Extra side of collards. Could not eat it all at once. Drive Through a little slow but that should be expected for hot food cooked right ✅️
