Said was open until 130 and lunch started at 11:00 , walked in at 10:40 after seeing a sign that was serving until 11:00 and was told they was closed as a waitress walked by. They need to update hours online and if they are going to stop serving 20 minutes before close they should list that as well as I drove 20 minutes to get over there for breakfast.

I ordered my food and by the time it came out. My food was cold. The hash Browns felt like it came out of frigerator, my eggs cold as will. The bacon was too greasy.The toast tasted old. This will be the last and only time I will come here . I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody unless you like cold food.

We decided to try the place this morning for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised and impressed. We both got a simple country breakfast plate with toast.
I ordered a piece of link sausage, because not everyone knows how to cook link sausage. It was absolutely perfect. Considering they were very busy, we didn’t have to wait ling before our waitress had come to take our order. We also got our food in a timely manner. We will be trying Sunday lunch very soon as they have all the good stuff! Great job guys!

I happened to be in Clinton for a long weekend with my son, who was getting his lifeguard certification from the YMCA there.... We got to try several local restaurants while in Clinton and the Gristmill was definitely my favorite.
The parking lot was PACKED on Saturday morning (always a good sign). The interior reminded me of the restaurants I went to as a kid in small-town NC. Everything was sturdy and well kept. Nothing flashy or fancy. All their money going back into the business is on the food and the people.
I ordered a three egg omelette and some cheese grits. Everything came out hot and fresh and delicious. I could tell that the eggs came out of shells in the back instead of out of a carton... And, equally important to me, everything was served with a smile from my waitress.
Would definitely go back there if ever in Clinton again.

Unfortunately we stopped for breakfast. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded, but we still had trouble getting waited on. After about 15 minutes they finally took our order, and then the wait really began. An hour after we arrived, we physically got up and found our waitress and asked her to check on our order. They hadn’t even started. No explanation, no apology, just indifference from our waitress. We left. It’s an hour of our life we won’t get back!

We arrived at the end of breakfast and the only option to order, was their lunch buffet. It was small, the seasoning of the food was off. We did not care for our meal. The slice of lemon meringue pie was very good though. From now on, it is breakfast, or nothing.

One time and done. Came here for breakfast. Hash brown tasted terrible. Dry, uncooked. Omelette was okay but not flavorful, to small. Pancake tested like from a frozen Department section at the store... you got to add some buttermilk to it guys. Atmosphere deserve zero stars. Guys please play some type of the music in the background... nobody wants to listen people chewing.. Service was terrible, had to wait for a menu forever... was about to leave too... my coffee was never refilled. Server has 0 enthusiasm. I really like prices here tho and it's just because server gave me wrong receipt :)... to even out my standings here and be honest, I left a tip

I've been to the gritmill before this time was not a good experience my husband food had hair in it no hair nets worn his order was wrong and so was my order. However,I may try again if same problem I will not go back.
