We decided to try the place this morning for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised and impressed. We both got a simple country breakfast plate with toast.

I happened to be in Clinton for a long weekend with my son, who was getting his lifeguard certification from the YMCA there.... We got to try several local restaurants while in Clinton and the Gristmill was definitely my favorite.

We arrived at the end of breakfast and the only option to order, was their lunch buffet. It was small, the seasoning of the food was off. We did not care for our meal. The slice of lemon meringue pie was very good though.
From now on, it is breakfast, or nothing.
