Never can go wrong with their ribeye or bbq plate!
First time eating here. The fried shrimp and french fries were delicious. My fiance' really enjoyed the grilled pork chops and field peas. The not so good: coleslaw really has no flavor except a lot of mayonnaise. The mashed potatoes had hard crunchy pieces around the inside of the dish. I will definitely be back but will try other sides.
Great location, great food and it always comes out very fast! You can not beat the prices and amount of food you are given. Breakfast, lunch, and dinners are all very good!
I wish this wasn't the case, but today was my last visit. My family and I have been here several times over the last 6 months or so and unfortunately each time the service has gotten progressively worse. The staff is friendly but not attentive at all. I came in for lunch today with my son and our waitress dropped our food and our check at the same time and never came back. I sat with an empty drink and missing part of my order for approx 15 minutes hoping she would walk by but no one came. I had to actually get up and track her down to ask for a refill and the rolls that were supposed to come with my lunch. This would be understandable if they were super busy but the restaurant was almost empty. Our food was very disappointing this trip too. Our French fries were shriveled, ice cold, and floppy. I didn't even eat them. Even more concerning was the fact that a couple of my chicken tenders were undercooked which I didn't notice until I had eaten most of them so now I'm praying I don't get sick from eating here. All of this I would have mentioned to my server when she came to see how things were, but as I said she never even came back. I was excited when this place opened because we have so few choices of restaurants in Coats but unless management gets the service issue under control I don't know how long it will stay open.
Cute little place. My burger and onion rings were cold. It's definitely a locals place and everyone just eats and visits.. The staff even eats with the customers.
1st time at this new restaurant and I was very happy. Great selection of fresh vegetables that were well seasoned. Also ordered the grilled pork chops and they were spot on! No complaints whatsoever. Nice little county restaurant that I will visit over and over.
Awesome place to eat and dine in with friends and family! Great country cooking!
I've been here a few times with really no issues. The wait staff service has always been a little slow but overall good experiences. Today that was not the case. Apparently the only waitress that came to my table was in training. (I assume that makes it okay) she got our drinks and our order and I never saw her again. Our food comes out wrong and only half of it on the plates. It was me and my one year old. We both only had meat and eggs. We were missing potatoes and toast fo
Great Food, Great Service
07/09/2021 7PMNo menus, no drinks, no silverware, no “I’ll be with you in a few,” no one even seemed to care that we walked out without ever being served in any shape form or fashion after 15 minutes of twiddling our thumbs at the table. I’ll be back in another year after the employee shortage is hopefully over. Until then, to the nice person that seems to have an excuse for all of the poor ratings and comments on here—I don’t want an excuse or even “I’ll check with management to see what went wrong…”Just make note of the issues above and tell me what your plans are to fix the lack of service. We so badly want to enjoy and support our small town restaurant, but sadly, we had the same exact experience when y’all first opened. Was really hoping to see some change by now.

I absolutely love this place! I do wish they weren't closed on my 2 days off though. Be open on Sundays from maybe 11am to 5pm. They'd definitely get the after church traffic.
The staff was nice was but the food was not up to par. The hot dog looked wilted and the chili was bad. Half the fries were fresh but the other half had been sitting a long time. The burger was of the frozen hockey puck family. Everybody is serving them and I truly dislike this trend. There's nothing better than a freshly made hamburger patty cooked to order on the grill. Those frozen things just don't compare.Oh, and the thing that really made me downgrade them was their tea. Sweet tea is a must. Can't you at least have good tea??
Stopped by last night, the food was very good. Great portions with a great price! Our server was Jenny and she was great, she had a great personality and was so sweet. We will definitely be back!
Me and my husband come in occasionally as we pass through Coats. Our server Jennifer was the best! She truly cared about our dining experience. The hamburger steak was delicious as well as the grilled chicken. We will be back!Lisa
I don't like to complain BUT I feel like people should know what to expect before they get there. I ordered the hamburger steak and it had no taste at all, it was like filling up a sandwich Ziploc bag with water and chewing on it.I threw everything on the table at it, salt, pepper, ketchup, I even put some jelly on it trying to give it some taste. anyway that's just my opinion, all I can say is Diner beware.
