We usually stop at a gas station on our trips from Apex to Avon NC but this time we wanted some real food. Stick Burning BBQ was exactly what we needed and wow was the brisket super delicious. Excellent service and I even received a valentines box of chocolates. We will definitely be back here on our next trip!

Can’t say enough great things about this place. I was visiting Columbia town for an artist residency and this place was across the Street. Spacious on the inside and laid out very nicely. Very clean. Staff always greeted me with a friendly Face. Very personable. Food portion was good and price is very fair. They make a lot of things in house From scratch. This place And the people behind it are clearly passionate about BBQ.
If you’re after popular food item like brisket, I recommend you stop by early afternoon because this is the sort of place that makes a fresh batch every day and things like brisket might sell out. They’re pretty responsive to phone calls so you can also call in advance to check on the menu item you’re interested in.
They had a few arcade games in there so if you’re visiting with kids, they have some entertainment for the little ones.
Rated 100 with the health department. Definitely coming back here again If I visit the area in the future.

Our family frequents this small business any time we visit! The owner is extremely personable & makes sure to check in on our experience each time we are there. Food is always good & we love to try the specials offered. Today they went above and beyond! We visited excited to try their pizza on special, they unfortunately had sold out. The owner came and we in conversation mentioned we really looked forward to that pizza. When bringing our food out he surprised us with that pizza!! If stopping by on a Sunday make sure to ask about the amazing pizzas they serve!

Really good brisket. Baked beans were unlike any I have had and they were amazing. It was a little pricey for lunch, but was really good so I didn't mind.

First class BBQ and service. Highly reccomend this secret spot for good food. We had the BBQ nachos, BBQ sandwich, slaw, fries and mac/ cheese. Everything came out quick and good. Try the custom sauces. Located a few minutes walk to a nice park right on the supporting creek makes for a nice family visit. Facilities were clean and ol tree skool arcade games and the custom superhero art pits a bow on this experience. We will be back.

Used Stick Burning to cater yet another of my companies Christmas parties. Amazing as always! He delivered exactly when we asked even though it was well outside of normal business hours. Him and his team set everything up, sliced the prime rib on site to ensure it was perfect! We had people going back up for their third and fourth plates. It was all delicious and piping hot even though our event was an hour from the restaurant. Thanks again guys, Merry Christmas!

Stopped in on a trip back from the aquarium in Roanoke and had some of the best barbecue I've had ever in North Carolina. Met the owner and he was great. He's very passionate about his business and the community! The $10 box is a great deal! Fries are delicious. We'll definitely make the trip back for more. The place was clean and everyone was more than friendly. They even have free arcade games to play. The barbecue sauce was great and the sweet tea was correct. This establishment alone is worth a trip to Columbia, North Carolina if you have never been.
