I always look forward to coming here when I'm in town. Almost every table had dirty dishes. All the servers were on their phones and talking with each other. People were coming in and had to sit at dirty tables till someone came to clean it. The tables were dirty when we arrived untill we left.
Calvert’s Kitchen in Columbus, NC is an absolute gem! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care — true Southern comfort at its best. The service is top-notch every time, with friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. What really sets this place apart is the owner, who is always there during lunch, greeting customers with a smile and making sure everything runs smoothly. You can tell he truly cares about the experience and the community....
This is a great restaurant! Food is always good and home cooked. Service always great. Plenty of room to sit down and relax for lunch or supper. Also have a room in back you can reserve for parties or banquets for up to 20-some-odd people. I reserved it for my brother’s wedding rehearsal reception of 2 dozen+ people. Everyone not only enjoyed the food but multiple people commented how service was perfect and orders accurate in spite of a large crowd being accommodated. Saturdays...
