“In 2018 Yonder Luxury Vacation Rentals expanded to the Tryon, NC area with our business. That expansion included learning about all the restaurants in the area, and of course, visiting and trying them all out. Since our first visit that year, Mountain View BBQ has been a favorite of our team, and a part of our referral list for our Yonder guests. In that light I am a little embarrassed that I neglected to post a glowing review until now. (Apologies Mt View family!)
Our favorites have always been the brisket and pulled chicken, along with the wide array of side dish choices. So those are our go-to almost every time. Living in Asheville/WNC, we have a wide array of BBQ choices, and for a long time, (since they opened), my favorite ribs, hands-down, has always been 12-Bones. However, this week, for the first time, I decided to order the ribs at Mountain View. Suffice to say, OMG!!!!
I now have a new ribs favorite in WNC!! The ribs are not dressed in any sauce, which I was concerned about, but they are so well slow-cooked, tender and juicy, to the point that they melt off the bone! You can get your choice of 4 BBQ sauces, so adding the flavor you desire is easy and it works!
I encourage anyone in the Tryon, NC area to stop in to Mountain View BBQ. It is a small, family owned business, with friendly and quick service. You will love anything you order, and you will absolutely want to come back!
