My friend and I just left here and we had the most awkward experience at the bar with the redheaded bartender. We felt like we were a burden. She dropped our check off before we were done eating. Made it clear that she wanted us to leave and while I was in the bathroom after we paid, we were gonna leave cash and she grabbed our check and confronted us as to why we didn’t leave money for her yet To which my friend explained that she paid the check and I was gonna leave cash. This was at 8:45 , 15 minutes before they closed. She dropped our check off before we were done eating around 805. We haven’t seen each other in a while and we were meeting with each other and wanted to talk and hang out. I always recommend this place because the food is always great and usually the service is always great. If we ever come back, we will not be sitting at the bar because the bar is not very welcoming.

It was an ok time overall. We had a shellfish allergy in the party and the waitress was nice and asked up front. When it came to asking about oil and fryers It was hard to pull information out of our waitress. Our party did find it odd that many of the items are cross contaminated with shellfish so many items we wanted were off the menu. Another party member ordered a salad and the croutons were chewy like they were stale. At one point he could not determine if he was eating chicken or the croutons.

Went for lunch recently, we were warmly greeted and sat right away. Server greeted us warmly and drinks orders came promptly. Not a long wait for our food, nice to see the servers helping each other out. The food itself was very good, grilled chicken sandwich. Shrimp and grits with nice large shrimp cooked just right but needed a bit more heat to bring it to excellent.

My partner wasn’t super impressed, but I lovedddd my Cobb salad. I wish it was served more for ease of eating rather than for presentation (I.e. having to cut the bacon up yourself lmao), but overall it was so delicious and filling. Our server was attentive and there was no wait midday.

Food and drinks are always fantastic but you have got to do something about your air conditioner. Was there in June and AC was broken and water was leaking all over dining room floor. Was in there tonight and it was 78 degrees in restaurant. I don’t think I will be going back until winter time.

We hosted a ladies brunch at 44 Mills Kitchen & Tap the day before our wedding, and it was such a lovely experience! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was fresh and beautifully prepared. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations, which our guests really appreciated.
They struck the perfect balance of being attentive while still giving us space to relax and enjoy time together. It was the perfect setting for a special pre-wedding gathering. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming spot with great food and service!

Went on a saturday night with my Husband. We were so excited to try a highly suggested restaurant. Our served was Jordan and might I add she was incredibly charming. Wonderful service and a lovely girl to chat with. She made great suggestions as per the menu and really helped make date night even more magical.

Picked the place at random on the way to Raleigh for a concert. Definitely did not disappoint. Everyone was nice welcoming and super friendly. Our server jack actually knew the area we was traveling from and just was super friendly all around. Chicken and waffles was cooked perfectly same with the burger. The palmetto rangoon were delicious with the pepper sauce. Definitely would come back. Also love that we had some fellow GHOST fans there too make it definitely feel like we picked the perfect spot for lunch. Thank yall
