Dawn and Brian are absolutely wonderful. I have been craving true New York pastries since my pregnancy started and Dawn went above and beyond to make the pastries I asked for from scratch to order since they were not ones often asked for. I traveled an hour & 10 minutes to get there and she even stayed open past close until I made it to the bakery. Needless to say the chocolate dipped horseshoe almond horn cookies, linzer tarts and rainbow cookies are beyond delicious. If you have not been, make the trip you will not be disappointed. We will most definitely be back. Thank you so much!!
Great bakery!

This cake was beautiful and very delicious. The order was placed a couple of days before I needed and they met my expectations.

This was my first time trying this bakery. The service is great, but I found myself disappointed with their “single serve” options. I ordered four slices of carrot cake to eat myself in celebration of hitting a big work milestone. I found that the cake lacked distinction in flavor. The icing however is pretty tasty, but the overall ratio of icing to cake is too great that in my experience, a forkful of the pastry tastes like it’s all icing. The pictures that detail the selection of whole cakes look a bit more moist, and with an amount of icing to cake that better resembles my personal preference. In the future, ordering a whole cake from the start may be the best route to go.

Delicious pastries that sell out fast. If you've never had a peach fritter (you know, sister to the apple fritter), well, here is where you want to try your first one! Fresh, sweet, and you can't help yourself from eating the whole thing without sharing. Good desserts, scrummy cannolis, and fresh bread that just doesn't sit on the shelf for long.

I was actually visiting a neighboring establishment and saw this bakery. I think it would be nice to have a dessert to go with my lunch. The temperature was a little warm when I went in so many items had signs of condensation. I avoided those items and chose my favorites, a red velvet cupcake and the only remaining cheesecake, left from the man working the store. He gave very dry service. I felt like I was disturbing him since he was in the back when I came in. He offered no suggestions nor did he ask if there was anything in particular I was looking for.
My purchase came to $8. I’m a foodie at heart and I will try many things. My selections didn’t meet my expectations at all. The cupcake was very dry. I know not everyone can make red velvet well and I’m not sure how old they were. However, I was hopeful for the cheesecake but this one lacked flavor and it had texture that was more like a dense mousse with virtually no crust. It was not your normal cheesecake.
Needless to say, I would not return here to try anything else. As much as I love to support bakeries and other food establishments, it was not a good experience.

They should lose New York in the name this is nothing like a NY bakery. Don't get me wrong, they are a decent little place. They have ok cakes & pastries. The bread is nothing like bread in a NY bakery.

I recently visited with my daughter after an appointment and noticed that the person handling the pastries was not wearing gloves. It would have been more hygienic if gloves or a tissue were used to handle the desserts instead of bare hands. Seeing chocolate on the server's fingers from my cheesecake made me feel quite uncomfortable, and I decided to go to a lovely French bakery in Concord instead. Cleanliness is so important in the food industry, and I hope this issue can be addressed. Thank you.

I'm a Northerner...born and raised in Ohio in a community built on the steel industry. Our neighborhoods had Italians, Poles, Greeks and Croatians. I was the only Polish kid living in the Italian neighborhood! I've lived and worked in the Concord area for 24 years now. What I miss the most about Ohio....the food....especially the breads, bagels and cookies! Where I come from no wedding reception is complete if it doesn't have a 'cookie table' filled with Italian cookies! Italian bread has an actual HARD crust and a soft middle. Bagels are boiled FIRST and then baked to get that crispy outside and soft and chewy inside. You CANNOT find good bread, bagels or cookies in the local grocery chains! DOUGH Bakery is the ONLY bakery who makes AUTHENTIC BAGELS. Their assortment of Italian cookies and biscotti is fantastic. Their homemade bread is amazing. Give this local bakery a try if you're missing the tastes of 'up North'. You will NOT be disappointed!

Dawn and Brian are absolutely amazing. Not only do they have the best deserts that you will find in Concord, but they truly care about their customers. Their donuts are out of this world good. Dawn went the extra mile when I had to transition to gluten free and found a way to make a dessert that I can enjoy :) Dawn and Brian also went above and beyond when they found out my Father passed away. Between having the best pastries I've ever had and the genuine care they have for everyone that walks through their doors, I have no desire to check out any other bakeries. Dough Bakery has set the bar so high in my eyes that I truly don't believe anything else could possibly be better.
BTW check out the cake named after me - "Nikki's Obsession." Even my people who can have gluten agree it so good that you wouldn't even know!
