Food, entertainment, and ambiance is more than excellent. Bryan, our server was spectacular!
The food was extremely overpriced for the quality. I had the ropa vieja it was okay tasting and the portions were extremely small.

Horrible experience the last time we ate here. Food was not at all the quality it used to be. The cuban sandwich was an absolute disgrace. The prices are way too high for the quality of the food. The fries were the same I buy at Sams club and not cooked completely. I used to be a constant patron of this establishment but will never come back. What a fall from the wonderful place it used to be. They didn’t have any beer to choose from or banana peppers. Tried to pass off crappy bread as “cuban” bread. I would advise you to look else where for your dinner with family. 3 disrespectful sandwiches and two cokes, over $80…

I'm so disappointed. Red snapper was tough and flavorless. I've never had tough fish ever! It tasted awful.
The plantains stuffed with vegetables were dripping with oil. Oil coming down my hand.
I'm sorry to say that I won't be returning.
I don't know what happened. The last time I ate here was about a year ago. It was delicious.
My former review below was a 5 star:

We love Havana Carolina! I was happy I could make a reservation for Valentines Day and not have to worry about where we could get in. The music was a bit loud but we enjoyed our dinner as usual, thank you!
Wow! Who would have thought this authentic Cuban restaurant would have been in downtown Concord. What a great surprise. Our reservation was at 7 but we were so hungry we arrived at 6 in hopes they would seat us early, which they did. We obviously couldn't be picky about the location of our table, which was right in front of the entertainment, so it was a bit loud. But the music and singing were great. The menu selection was extensive and it was hard to choose. We both started out with beef empanadas. They were perfect. Beef was well seasoned and empanada was fried to perfection and flakey. I had the Pollo Relleno con Espinacas (chicken stuffed with spinach with a delicious mojo and cheese sauce) and my girlfriend had the Pollo a al Milanesa (lightly fried chicken breast topped w/ham and cheese and sofrito sauce). Both were served with black beans and rice with small pieces of pork and your choice of plaintains. The portions were quite large. We both took lefthovers with us. I wish I had saved room for dessert. They have a full service bar and my Cuba Libre was yummy, both of them!!! My friend said her Expresson Martini was one of the best she's had. I can't wait to return and try some of their beef dishes. The wait staff was tremendous, checking on us several times to make sure all was good. And the fact they accomodated us early was a plus. This was such a pleasant experience. Definitly check it out.
I made a reservation for my wife and I for Saturday night, 6:45pm. I confirmed my reservation through open table the day before and was also contacted a few hours prior the day of the reservation. We arrived on time to a packed restaurant and had to wait a 5 minutes for a table, it happens. It seemed right away based on the energy of the staff that they were understaffed and stressed despite the smiles and service at our table. We ordered a round of coconut mojitos, our favorite cocktail there, and an appetizer sampler. The drinks and app took over 20min to get and the app wasn't hot. I ordered congri with my cubun sandwich and I was disappointed how it crumbled away off my fork. It didn't seem fresh, fluffy and hot, rather leftover, overheated and dried out. We've come here off and on for the past 5yrs or so. Usually it's all hot and fresh. My wife specifically said she wanted to go there for her birthday and get some mojitos and appetizers(her favorite part of their menu)and then go out next door to get a good local beer. We'll try again as it's hard to find Cuban food in the area, especially those mojitos, but we've had a couple disappointing visits lately where the entrée's didn't seem to be executed to expectations. Just being honest.
Have gone to Havana Carolina a few times and went this past weekend to celebrate a birthday. Service was ok, long wait times for food and they didn't come out all at once. Portion sizes were small and overpriced.
I visited this restaurant with my family, and it was a nice experience. Our server, Isa, was attentive and very pleasant. She made sure we were taken care of, which we appreciated. The food was very good and authentic! Friendly service and a cozy vibe!

Great overall experience! If you want authentic food and atmosphere, Havana Carolina is the place to go! Plus, it's down in the quiet and charming area of Concord which makes for a great date night.
