Hawthorne's NY Pizza and Bar Concord

Just ordered pizza for the first time from Hawthornes. I’m from NY and haven’t been able to find good pizza around here. This pizza was absolutely delicious! I’m so happy I found this place!

Been here a few times and the food and service have been consistently good every time.

Great local pizzeria! Hawthorne pizza is pretty good but I’m not a fan of their wings. Always pies for us.

Best Pizza I've had! Garlic knots are perfect!! Service was incredible!

Did not know they closed at 9pm on Sunday, got in around 8, but we're still seated. Parked at the parking garage around the corner, so parking is easy. 1 waiter and had a larger party, so we waited about 10 minutes before being greeted, no biggie. Varied menu with sandwiches,pizza,wings,appetizers, ect. Ordered some wings and a Luau pizza. Wings were good, a little cold but the Buffalo sauce was outstanding! The pizza was 18inch. Cooked very nicely. Best dough I've had in the Concord area. Reminded me of NY dough. Crisp, can hold up to a NY fold and charred where it needed to be. Toppings were fresh,not overly greasy, and spread out nicely on the pie. The sauce had a sweetness and slight zest. Very good sauce! One bite, everyone knows the rules. A solid 7.3 on the pie! Will try a more traditional pie next time! Overall, it is a very solid NY style replica slice.

Salad was amazing, pizza was good, music was modern. No issues other than having to ask for ketchup 3 times after ordering it.

Other than road construction in downtown Concord the place was awesome. Our waiter was great and the pizza and salad were delicious.

Very quiet, uneventful Saturday night dinner. Started with cheese bread that was decent. Made the mistake of getting the buffalo pan pizza. It was essentially the cheese bread with a watery buffalo sauce base, a few pieces of chicken, and melted globs of cheese. The luau pizza was undercooked, resulting in a floppy crust in which the toppings just fell off. The star of the meal was a to-go Hawthorne’s salad, which my wife enjoyed thoroughly. On top of the lack luster food, the server was so occupied with breaking down for closing (an hour away) I ran out of tea and waited 10 minutes before interrupting her and asking for more. (Keep in mind we were the only table she had to serve) I would be willing to try the food again but certainly not any time soon.

We love our local Hawthorne’s in Concord! The staff is awesome and we always enjoy our food. Whether it’s take out, grabbing something fast at the bar or bringing the whole family, we know we will always have a good time and a great meal. Thankful they are here and have been a part of our ever- changing downtown.
