Mac Tabby Cat Cafe - Concord

This (Saturday, Dec 28, 2024) was our 2nd or 3rd visit to the Concord location (we have also visited Noda and want to visit Salisbury when we get the chance). We love them both, we always have a great time, the staff is always friendly and willing to answer all the questions we have, and they are very knowlegdeable when doing so. And of course, every cat is special.

I was driving on Cabarrus Avenue when I saw the sign directing me to the Mac Tabby Cat Cafe. I heard about it and decided to visit and just happened to have my boy cat Storm with me. He behaved in his carrier while I was in the cattery in all my feline glory! The other patrons got to meet Storm, as well. It is comforting to know that these babies are being cared for and prepared for their new and loving forever home. Today, I will be dropping off cleaning supplies. I know I will see my other babies again....in Heaven. I often bargain with God: "Let cats into Heaven and I'll clean all the litterboxes!

Had the most amazing time here today! The staff were very friendly and patient, coffee was done quick and it was really delicious. I would come here for just the drinks. Hanging with the kitties was also amazing. They were all so chill and it's really fun to watch them all interact with each other/do their own things. There's something therapeutic about being in such a cozy environment with so many kitties. Will definitely be coming back, absolutely worth the 40 minute drive :)

Phenomenal place! The staff were friendly, the place itself was inviting, and the cats were adorable. It's 10$ for half an hour and 14$ for an hour in the cat lounge, and the coffees are about 4.50$ on average. I tried a coffee and a cream soda and both were delicious. Drinks were allowed into the cat lounge. They had seasonal flavors for coffee, and the cafe was decorated very nicely for the holiday season. The cat room itself was spacious, with a variety of cat toys to use. There was a TV in the corner of the room that played a slideshow with images and names of the cats, and all of the cats are listed online as well. Overall it was an amazing experience and I'll be sure to visit again when I'm in town.

Kid-friendliness: Kids under 7 are not allowed in the cat lounge unless the lounge itself is booked.

My favorite cat cafe ever! The drinks are amazing, the staff is very kind and the cats are so sweet and healthy. I am about forty minutes away but try to go once every month because of how worth it the experience is ❤️

The vibe is so chill. Great coffee, good beers to choose from…there’s always good music playing and the ambience is very relaxing. Don’t even get me started on the cat room 🥹 🛋️😻

I went to Mac Tabby on a Sunday shortly after they opened and would highly recommend it! The cafe is cute and houses an extensive menu, making this a great spot to come for a great cup of coffee, not just the cats! As a lounge, the cats were a mix of active and sleepy, which was fine by me. All were kind and receptive to petting.

Unfortunately, the group in the cat lounge with us consisted of two children who were rowdy, and they made the experience less than enjoyable. My boyfriend and I were looking forward to spending some time with kitties, and instead we spent 30 minutes with kids who were jumping around (one of which consistently jumped in front of the cats) and dangling the toys in an attempt to make the kittens "do a backflip", which was stressful. In the future, it would be nice to see them have a supervised, children-only room, or different hours reserved just for adults. Despite that, I still rate my visit a 5/5, because this is not the cafe's doing, but the children! Your experience could be entirely different.

Again, I don't hold this against the cafe at all, nor do I the workers, as they were all extremely friendly, but if you're looking to avoid children and relax during your visit, consider coming during the week. I will be back, but likely during a weekday where I'm less likely to share the lounge with kids who are throwing toys onto the air vent to get a cat to jump down.

such a sweet place! went on a thursday afternoon and it was a super chill place to relax. the workers were friendly, booking a reservation was easy, the chai latte was amazing(!), and the cats were adorable. looking forward to coming back here!

This place is so amazing! Friendly staff, playful cats, a wide selection of coffee sticks, beer, wine and specialty sodas. We reserved the room for a small birthday celebration, and everyone had the best time! The cats are all clearly happy, healthy, and well-socialized. Cat toys entrance are provided, and there are countless spots to sit and snuggle. We can't wait to go back!

I hate to rate it this way but when really wanting to adopt this cat after being there twice, we get no update, I call mac tabby and they tell me princetonsmeow handles it so I email them, nothing. I’ve been calling for days, nothing. I don’t mean harm to mactabby because the service and people there are wonderful but this adoption process has been such a let down. Seeing cats get adopted that were there AFTER you put in an application weeks ago is frustrating. We’ve adopted cats before from DailyMews with no problems so I don’t understand what’s different this time.

MY POINT IS: be weary and don’t have your hopes us like us because you might be ignored if you want to adopt in the end.
