Wow! We've eaten here before but it's been a while. Very impressed. Friendly waitress (Makenzie), I had the 2 meat platter - ribs and smoked turkey (or you can get 3) with 2 sides and hush puppies. The ribs were fantastic! Moist (yes,I said moist) and flavorful. Some for the best baby back ribs I've ever eaten!! The smoked turkey breast was served in aluminum foil and guess what -- it was moist too! Baked beans were saucy with bits of BBQ meat mixed in. Mashed potatoes had bits of skin mixed in. Cornbread and hush puppies were good. Husband had the 1/4 chicken and ribs. I love where this place is located - close off 85. I don't have to fight Bruton Blvd/Charlotte traffic. They have a train that circles a track attached to the ceiling 🚂- very cute. They do have a senior/child's menu. We will definitely be back.
Good BBQ, came by for dinner. Service was good. The prices increased so much that we decided we could get BBQ at Cookout and save money.

Their food used to be good for dining in... Just do not order delivery because every time we have the order is either wrong or missing items. Now they have changed their name and their prices have skyrocketed...! A footlong went from less than $5 to over $10... HA! No thanks. We will not be returning as there are plenty of other BBQ restaurants in the area that have the same if not better food at MUCH less prices...

Food is decent, service pretty good, but everything in this place is sticky. The cleaning rags need changing every so often.

Never disappoints. Brisket was a little dry today, but thats what good bbq sauce is for.

I've tried this place a few times and it just doesn't hit the mark for me. Here's why.
1. Everything I've had is under seasoned or not seasoned at all.
2. Brisket is cooked well done so it's dry! The brisket when I got it had no seasoning.
3. Their fried corn is corn on the cob (which isn't stated on the website menu. I thought it was gonna be off the cob) in a batter. That batter tastes like fried fish but also has no seasoning.
I will say I love their portion sizes to the price you pay. Service and atmosphere is great. The food is good, but it can be so much better with actual seasoning. Even salt and pepper goes a long way.

I have been a frequent customer at R&R BBQ for a long time. Yesterday, 19 October 2024, I was surprised with their new menu that had fewer food options and much higher prices. It appeared that all entrees increased by $3. Two of my go-to items were ½ rack of ribs that went from $17.99 to $20.99, and the chopped pork plate from $10.99 to $13.99. I usually have a teenager with me, and he always orders the same thing: cheeseburger with mozzarella sticks. He wants NO sides with that meal. Yesterday, I couldn’t order that, because the cheeseburger HAD to come with one side, and mozzarella sticks were not a side. So, I had to pay about $5 extra to get a side (fries) that we did NOT want. When the food finally arrived, it was presented on a metal rectangular tray lined with parchment paper with two small stainless steel cups for my side (slaw and baked beans). Food used to be on a plate and in bowls. The new cups were much smaller now, with the quantity of food being reduced by about ½. The bottom line is that I paid more money for less food. According to my server, the daily specials were also eliminated, like the ½ price banana pudding on Saturdays. While the servers are almost always attentive and friendly, it took an extremely long time to get food from the kitchen. It wasn’t just us, it appeared everyone had a long wait for food, and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. The restaurant has added an enclosed outdoor patio, and they now sell beer and wine. Even with customers like me not returning to the business, they will probably do well, profit wise, with the increased prices and beer and wine sales. (One hot dog with one side is now $9.99 - really!?). This big price hike, reduced quantity of food, limited menu options, and very slow service, means that I will not be returning.
Food was delicious but waited over an hour for it to get to table. Short staffed in the kitchen. Usually do takeout but wanted to try outdoor patio.

- The waitress was awesome.
- The food took 45 minutes, it was ridiculously slow. I was just about to pay for my drinks and leave when the food finally arrived. The kind waitress kept apologizing.
- The brisket was a 9, the turkey was a 10, the chicken was a 2.
Lastly, if you sit on the patio they have pickup and those waiting on food are sitting there with their lights on and cars running right next to you. They need to block that area off so people can eat and relax on the patio. Has huge potential, but wasn’t thought out very well. I hope the management appreciates constructive criticism, it’s incredibly rare that I leave reviews like this.

This is a wonderful local restaurant! The staff are warm and welcoming. The food is delicious and the restaurant is clean. The new outdoor porch seems to be big draw, as is the addition of a beer and wine license for the restaurant.

I am literally so upset that we've been living in Concord for a year and tonight was our first night getting supper from here. It was SO good! They def use eggs in their mac and cheese and you know it's not a true baked mac and cheese without an egg - but it also wasn't just noodles and cheese. It had flavor! It was the highlight of my plate for sure. The portion sizes for the meats are plenty and the meats were very good as well! We got takeout and the food was still fresh and hot when we got home. My only small complaint is that I think graham crackers are used in the banana pudding and not wafers. My husband loved it though so it's all preference.

The food was very dry. Considering we had barbecue, that says a lot. Soda was bigger than a pitcher, which is too much, but the only size. The prices of the food are sketchy. When you read the menu , check the pricing thoroughly. They have a little scam going on.It's crazy. Never going back. Their side dishes are very limited.
