This was my first time trying this place. Let met tell you. I was in HOG HEAVEN. The food was THE BEST BBQ I've ever had at a restaurant. The service was impeccable. It felt like we were truly cared for. The overall look and feel of the restaurant was so inviting. I was raised around trains my entire life. I'm a huge BBQ lover, so this restaurant really made my heart (and stomach) happy! I will definitely be back again in the near future.

I meant to write this review awhile ago, but kept forgetting until now. Long story short, I was going with a friend to check out a car in NC (we're from Clemson, SC) and we broke down on the interstate about a mile from here. We got towed here, and the management let us hang out until my friend's dad could pick us up in his tow truck. We must have waited there for 7-8 hours, had lunch AND dinner, and an overall great time. We both loved the BBQ and brisket, so we highly recommend those. Staff was extremely welcoming and hospitable! I will definitely be back next time I am in the area!

This is definitely one of the best places you can dine in here in Concord! The food is excellent and the service is just as high up there! I highly recommend eating here if you haven’t.

Food is always on point. Brunswick Stew is some of the best. My son always likes the Tenders and of course the BBQ is the best.

Stopped by for lunch after work. It's a little out of the way,but figured I'd give it a try. The place is very, generic on the outside, and looks like a Texas Roadhouse on the outside. The service was good, sat my self and waited on quickly. Ordered the fried pickles, they hit the spot! The BBQ on the other hand. It was Luke warm. The ribs didn't fall off the bone, or have a bite. Just kind of soggy and limp. The BBQ sauce was good though. The pork was actually good. Doused it with the vinegar sauce, which was WESTERN NC STYLE, and tasted like many others. The hush puppies were solid, sides were plain.

As I only moved to the area a year ago, I've only been to R&R twice. My partner being a local has been many times. I can see why it's been around so long. First of all, the ambiance is as nostalgic as you're gonna get. Even after moving locations they kept up their theme to a T. It is an adorable restaurant and if you have kids, they better know about this gem. They have a railroad track with train overhead and tons of things that go with the theme. The place is big enough to accommodate any size party as well. Being that we went on a weeknight, our service was great too. The food was fresh and came out rather quickly. We got two huge plates and each tried a little of everything the first time and even had leftovers for the next day. My favorite meat was the pulled pork that I smothered in vinegar sauce and then used the sweet sauce to dip. My favorite item overall was the fried corn on the cob though. It will get stuck in your teeth though. The second time I had it was to go on a Monday night to try their Mississippi pot roast. It was great but not the same portion size you get from the bbq and I can't say that I blame them. You do get a load of mashed potatoes with it and choice of another side. It was also very flavorful. But, I'll stick to making my own. I'm looking forward to going back, this is the kind of place I'll work my way through the whole menu.
