Hidden gem alert!

From the moment I walked in, I fell in love with this old mill that has been transformed into a brewery, eatery, coffee place and Vintage shopping.

Tabatha greeted me as soon as I walked in, and I also got to meet Jasmine who helps runs the eatery. Both of these ladies have a genuine warmth and hospitality about them that makes you feel so comfortable.

There is a special vibe in this mill & you can tell the employees love working here.

Ty thoughtfully made me the Chimi Chimi bowl to try & it was packed with flavor & left me wanting to come back & try more off their menu. On Sundays, they have a jazz brunch from 11-2 that’s worth checking out!

They also have a space you can rent out—for weddings or graduations—maybe even a business networking thing.

They also collaborate with liquid voyage, a company that offers bringing a bar to any of your events. Annie, shared a photo with me of their sweet camper. I love how Southern Stain supports other local businesses in the community.

I’m looking forward to sharing this hidden gem with my neighbors in the town of Davidson.

Chicken sandwich is a total rip off for 17 dollars. I had to pick up the tiny piece of chicken to get to the second piece of bread because both were underneath it.

The Strain Brewery in Concord is a whole vibe. The energy here is warm, welcoming, and just the kind of place your soul wants to hang out. The staff are incredibly attentive, and I’ve got to give a special shoutout to Rachel behind the bar — she’s an absolute ray of sunshine.

Rachel took the time to chat, share recommendations, and make everyone feel like they belonged. You can tell she genuinely cares and brings such a good energy to the space. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal and real.

The beer is top-notch, the music is always good, and the people? Even better. Whether you’re a regular or just passing through, this place wraps you up like an old friend. 🌿🍻💫

I recently went to a $250 steakhouse and the Chimichurri Ribeye with Frites, Father’s Day special kicked that fancy steak square in the ass! I highly recommend the Super Dank pour to join it. From now on when I go, I am going to ask for Chef Carrie to whip me up some magic. She is a culinary star!!

Beautiful and spacious. We went on a Saturday night around 6:30 and it wasn't very crowded. Food was delicious and my husband said the beer was great. I did have a really good bloody mary. The only thing I didn't like was that it seemed quiet. I would've like to hear some background music. We sat inside but it looked like they have a good outdoor area with picnic tables.

The atmosphere in the building is unlike any other, it’s a very welcoming place; even for those who can’t or don’t drink beer. They have a variety of drinks, including soda, lemonade, water, etc. The food is great, great service in and out of the window.

We had our daughters graduation party of 50 people here, everything was handled amazing Tabatha and staff were awesome.

Could be better. Beer is good. Food and kitchen service could improve.

This is one of the most classy, and historically crafted brewery's in Concord! They have another location at plaza midwood. The people here are amazing, laid back, and so fun to talk to! They really know what they are doing here- the food is delicious, try the southern drawl burger! With so many options, grab a flight to see which beer is more your taste palate. You cannot go wrong at a place like this! It's like home! They treat you like family here!
