Met friends from Gastonia as midpoint, since we're from Lexington. Well worth the trip. We sat outside with our Golden Retriever. Our server, Jade, took great care of us, including a water bowl for Golden! Our selections included the scramble, the breakfast sandwich, grits, potatoes, biscuits, iced tea and excellent coffee! Service, food, atmosphere excellent, made for a great brunch!
While walking around Downtown Concord, my group and I went into Union Street Cafe. Unknowingly, we walk in at 1:20 and the place closes at 2. We were able to get a table and the food was amazing. The kitchen did not short step with it being close to closing time. I only took pictures of 2 of 4 meals. Not photographed are the burgers. They looked absolutely delicious and I don't eat red meat. When they say, made from scratch and made to order, THEY MEAN IT. Prices matched what you got brought to the table. The girlfriend got the pancakes that were the size of the plates and its soo good without the syrup! I had the biscuits and sausage gravy. Two warm biscuits smothered in a creamy, chunky gravy with chicken sausage. I also got a delicious mimosa. Came in a high all glass with a decent balance of OJ, Prosecco and bitters. We'll definitely be back in the future.
