I let the good sanitation score fool me. I ordered a burger with hashbrowns, and my wife got waffles with hashbrowns. While we were there, I watched the cook drop a raw burger patty directly next to hashbrowns on the grill. Business as usual — or so I thought.
Looking back, I realized she was using the same utensils on the raw burgers as she did on the hashbrowns that were nearly touching the raw meat. The food tasted a little off, but I didn’t say anything since no one else at the table complained.
As soon as we got home, my wife and I were both running for the bathroom. This wasn’t just an upset stomach — it was obvious bacterial contamination from improper food handling. They weren’t busy, and the grill had plenty of open space, yet she still placed our hashbrowns right next to raw meat and cross-contaminated them.
The aftermath was far worse than a typical foodborne illness. I won’t get into details here, but let’s just say that most people would have called 911 if they experienced what I did.
I 100% warn anyone reading this: avoid this Waffle House — at least this location — where sanitary cooking practices appear to be optional.

I ate here this morning with my family. When I was finished eating I took my straw out the cup only to find two dead bugs on my straw. This meant that the bugs were in the sweet tea. When reported the lady took 5$ off when all we wanted was them to stop serving it.

Food tasted okay, very small Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I had signed up for the rewards program and was sent a free hash browns coupon. Manager wouldn’t honor it saying it had to be printed out. Is this 2025? Poor customer service.

My family comes here a couple times a week. You can't ever go wrong with waffle House. They make the correct food right in front of you and it's hot. The employees know us by face. 😆
Location: 3416 us 601 I placed an on line order since you can't call an order in.. Order 3 eggs sunny, double hashbrowns, steak, waffle My daughter went in to pick up the order. After driving 15 minutes, drove another 15min home to look at the order and absolutely NOT one thing was correct.. the eggs were scrambled, not double hashbrowns, steak was so over cooked my dog didn't even want to eat it. NO waffle.. I've giving this Location several chances. And evertime more then one thing was incorrect. After more then a handful of chances I'm absolutely done with waffle house. Tonight was the last straw. My 16yr daughter could gave cooked that dinner better. The food an service is awful here, that's why they hardly ever have any business.

We ordered by online pick up. Ordered 2 triple hash browns with chilli and cheese, 2 chicken melts and a sausage biscuit. It was a $40 order and I had to drive 15 minutes one way to pick it up. The food was burnt tasting. The hash browns had chilli that tasted burnt and super salty. My daughter said her biscuit also tasted burnt. I ended up throwing the hash browns away even after trying to doctor them up by adding more cheese. My daughter ended up taking the egg and cheese off her biscuit and throwing that part away. She said the cheese and egg were nasty.
I try not to put complaints on restaurants as I worked dairy Queen for 19 years. Being a food worker I get that sometimes things happen and sometimes food isn't the freshest. However, this food was nasty and hopefully if I complain no one else will drive 15 minutes to leave with food that you end up throwing away.
