The prices were higher than last time the hotdogs were ok the restroom was nasty as high as the prices are you would think they would they would make improvements but it's a local favorite the service was faster than I expected so that was good

Food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I'd definitely recommend others eat at What-A-Burger.

Food was OK but the place seemed so dirty. There was a hair on the table when we sat down, the bathroom was needing cleaning badly. Just run down building. I know it's old, but it really needs some renovating and cleaning!

If you’re looking for quick, simple Mom-&-Pop burger and fries (with southern flair), What-a-burger is your next stop. Not to be confused with the Texas-based What-a-burger, this chain is local and prepares every manner of local favorites such as foot long hotdogs all the way (ketchup, mustard, chili, onion & slaw), corn dogs, bbq, onion rings, Chuckwagon sandwiches, what-a-burger’s (single, double and triple - try it all the way, or with bacon!), ranch burgers (a smaller burger that comes with a half order of fries, perfect for kids or an in-between meal), milkshakes, chicken fries, fried apple pies and fried pickles. Pro tip: If you’re from NC and your nostalgia kicks in, order a Witch Doctor to go!

The food was cooked fresh which makes a big difference. The double cheeseburger was moist and juicy. The vegetables were fresh and the onion rings were crispy. The lady that took our order was simply amazing. She was in touch with everyone and made sure that no one was ignored. Although she was short staffed on this night, she never missed a beat.

Ordered burgers on Tuesday evening. The vibe in this place is so unprofessional. Woman taking orders seems to be manager. She is very bossy & rude. She never thanked me for spending $30 in this dive..

The food is pretty good. Bring cash as there is a charge for using plastic. Booths are old school and tight.

There was a young man at the register that was taking my wife and I order. He was very rude to us. He was rushing us to order and ignoring us when we were asking questions about the menu. We decided to eat inside, so I later went back to ask for a refill and the same young man literally filled my cup less than half full and handed back to me. I then proceeded to ask if he can please fill my cup back up. He then told me he was going to but I guess he forgot after handing my cup back to me. This was our second and LAST time eating there.
Small town vibe. Great food and friendly, welcoming staff. Ask about the WITCH DOCTOR.

Waited 30 minutes for a takeaway burger and fries. Place wasn’t even that busy, looks like one guy working in the kitchen and 3 ladies gossiping at the front counter without a whole lot going on. Fries portion was very small. Burger wasn’t very big but tasted good.

First and last time. Food was expensive for what it was. Wasn't good at all. Ordered a witch doctor drink and tasted like it was half pickle juice. Not what I read online it was supposed to be at all. Not for me! On the other hand the staff was extremely nice.
