There are so many, so let's be clear about which one we're rating: Fairgrove Church Road, Hickory, NC. This is our best visit to a Waffle House. We were there late and the place was still busy. Our waitress was pleasant, efficient, and helpful. The cook kept up with the orders. The food was prepared as ordered and served hot. I had the "all-star special" which includes an egg dish and a waffle. They waited until I was finishing my eggs to bring my waffle! That is so thoughtful! Although they were busy, the seating area was clean. The men's restroom could have used some attention.
Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance layout is not good for maneuvering a wheelchair, especially a wide one.

Over easy was slimmy and raw. Bacon to hard to eat. This was takeout so bread was mush that was laying in raw egg. Very disappointed. Also syrup cups were very sticky. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
Delicious breakfast. 10/10 recommend doing here anytime of day for a meal that feels home cooked

Service was horrible never got watter refill or coffee. My Texas bacon, egg and cheese melt was also horrible. One side had all the bacon the other the egg. I had to rebuild my sandwich as best I could. As I paid I asked for a to go tray for my waffle, lady ignored it and walk off. I thought about not tipping for such bad services. Looks like they can't keep good help needs improvement in keeping good staff. Also there were only 3 tables mine and two others so the service shouldn't have been so bad.

Love this restaurant. The servers are amazing and so are the cooks.Everyone needs to try the bacon egg and cheese hashbrown bowl and add ham chunks to it.
