I purchased 6 flats for the home I own in Brunswick County and it started to die immediately! I threw out the first batch, and ordered more and 50% of it died. I hired a lawn specialist who verified that the Bermuda flats have a fungus which is spreading. He also verified that there were six other types of grass mixed in throughout.I called the comany to discuss, and the owner's daughter was loud, nasty, obnoxious, inconsiderate, did not listen and started to defend why she knew there wasn't a problem. This was my first time using Cape Fear Turf Farm and I am so glad I did. First of all, the owner, Pistol, and the manager, Brandi are so kind and personable. We picked up 2 pallets of Zoysia and they were extremely helpful during pickup and beyond.The two pallets we received were of great quality and I feel it was cultivated properly — we were able to utilize every single piece on the pallet. In addition, I gave Brandi the square feet and she suggested 2 pallets. I almost got three (just in case), but I am so glad I went with her recommendation.Now, with any sod, you have to take great care of it in order for it to root properly. I spoke with Brandi and she gave me suggestions in addition to my research online.We had a dry spell and because I was able to water it and maintain it properly, my backyard looks great - it’s so happy and healthy! The care you take at home is in my opinion what matters most.I am so happy with the results and will be utilizing Cape Fear Turf Farm in the future for my front yard as well.Thanks, Cape Fear Turf Farm!

I am the owner of Jim's Lawn and Landscaping LLC.. ...I am a licensed landscape contractor. I work daily in a high end community who only uses the best. That is why I personally use Cape Fear Turf Farm....for my sod needs....I recently had a 45 pallet job.....and every single piece off of the pallets was usuable....which is unbelievable especially this time of year....mid way through my project I had to double the order because the customer changed the project.....I immediately called cape fear and they accommodated my last minute request....with no argument whatsoever.....they moved the delivery date and doubled the amount of sod.....they saved the day for me....I have been using them exclusively for 15 years. They are the most professional, honest, caring, and experienced vendors i deal with.....their office manager Brandi is the best.....she always works with me in a timely manner and deals with all my changes....never fails me.....there drivers are absolute the best.....Billy and Larry.....are always on time....call me when they are on the way....and always work with me on site to make my job easier. Their drivers are the reason why I originally stuck with them....they never let you down. Should have read the review before buying from here. Customer service is poor. I reached out to them because I needed Zoysia for a customer and Cape Fear was one of the few who had it available. I made sure to specifically request that the sod come in rolls which I was told would be no problem.Come today, the sod shows up in slabs. It's normally not a huge deal. It takes a little longer to lay meaning I'm paying my guys more for labor, but I made this known to the office and they began denying that they ever agreed to supply rolls in the first place. I shared that I was disappointed with the communication. Brandi asked me word for word, "Aren't you being a little nitpicky?"No matter the situation, there should never be a time when you tell a customer they are being nitpicky. There was no attempt to make amends and no apology. This was the first time I had them supply sod to a job of mine. My business is primarily sod installation projects. They had a good chance to earn a great recurring customer.I hate leaving bad reviews. But there are far better farms who make far better efforts for their customers. Go elsewhere.
