So I usually like to go to a place several times before I make a review. Been to TJ's twice now, the first time I tried the burgers and hot dogs. The Burgers were good and the hot dogs were fine. Second time I went I tried to fish plate and it was excellent. Fish was wonderful hush puppies were great fries were perfect
The location is visible on the main street. It is very clean, including the women's bathroom. The seating areas are also clean so you can sit while you wait or eat there. The wait staff provides service with a smile. I had the whiting dinner, and it was cooked fresh to order, seasoned perfectly, and delicious. Even though it's called "fish & chicken" the menu is versatile. I will be returning to try some of their other items.
This is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that provide amazing food in a modest setting. They have some of the best fried seafood I've had in the Triangle. My favorite is the shrimp po boy which I've had twice now. My wife loves the fried catfish and our son had a fried shrimp platter. They even had something for our daughter who doesn't like seafood, a cheeseburger.
