I want to know why you charged us a $10.00 tip when we ordered at the order counter and then picked it up. We had no server services and when we paid could not take off the tip!

Genuinely shocked at these reviews. As someone who grew up in Virginia Beach and frequented OBX for seafood, this place is extremely lacking. The crab dip is mostly cheese, the fried food is over fried, the she crab could be out of a can, and the place is dirty. I would highly suggest a Captain D's over this.

This place is a seafood lover’s dream! You can pick out your own fresh fish and seafood to take home, or sit down and enjoy a meal right there in the restaurant. Everything was incredibly fresh, with generous portions and very reasonable prices. The sides were just as good as the main dishes, and the shrimp wrapped in bacon and crab meat was absolutely delicious. A great spot for both dining in and bringing home top-quality seafood—I’ll definitely be back!

Don't waist your time. This place is really bad service wise. Never got the chance to try the food. Waited for 10 minutes while seated at a table and was ignored. Finally we just left and no one even noticed

We purchased a Bushel of crabs for our family trip in the OBX. The customer service was fine but the crabs were the worst I’ve EVER had in my ENTIRE life. I knew I was in trouble when I picked the box up and it was as light as a feather. Got them to our house and we opened them and many were black inside and most were empty. We were so disappointed. This time of year the crabs should be fresh and meaty! They were horrendous! $160 wasted.

Poor quality seafood and poor customer service.
I bought a few dozen oysters for a family get together recently. Shucked them the following day and found 1/3rd of them were bad. Even the pea crabs inside were dead. I contacted the shop 3-4 times to try to reach the right person to replace them and they have refused. Spend your money at Carawan’s or Billy’s instead.

Excellent no frills casual seafood restaurant, market, and bar. Order at the counter and sit down, and the buzzer they give you will vibrate when your order is ready to pick up at the window. We had Crab Cakes - delicious and flavorful with the onions and peppers but not packed with filler. Fried Okra actually had taste to it. Corn Nuggets were tasty and fried nicely. Steamed Clams - hot, plump, and tasty served with butter. Rockfish tacos and shrimp tacos (Tues. Special) - flavorful, freshly fried, and topped with fresh pico de gallo. Booths were comfortable. Very friendly staff. Fresh seafood market looked enticing. This is our second time being here and it's a great stop either entering in or exiting North from the OBX... TRUCK PARKING TOO!!

So today I had the she crab soup. I usually have ordered this once before. I ordered a small and told ask the cashier how much that Would be she said $6.59 . I said I hope it fill me up and the kitchen gave me half a pint container of soup that was there idea of a small!! It was less than 8 oz of soup for $6.59 !! Way overpriced and a deceptive way to sell soup to customers I am a long time customer of frog island and They are no longer my go to seafood restaurant for the Currituck area !
Update!!!! I have since returned to eat for a quick meal and I ordered a crab cake sandwich with fries. The cooks didn’t even handful serving of fries on my plate and the crab cake was burnt! This place charged me 18.00 for this garbage and they rip you off On their servings don’t eat at Frog Island!!! The people in the kitchen are illegals and they don’t know How to do their job!

There was no service, You looked at them plastic menu, and I ordered the shrimp with scallops two side The first side dish was black beans salsa. The second one was hush puppies. They gave me a plastic disk that. lights up to let you know your order is ready. you go up to the counter and you pick up the food you ordered when I picked up the food you could tell that the grease that was dirty because, The shrimp in the scallops was dark I try to overlook this because , I had a friend with me and I didn’t want to embarrass her or myself it wasn’t the first time I was there , I was disappointed . I looked at the plate. It was not appetizing the first time I’ve been there, but will be the last time I’ve got better service going drive-through I paid $23.00 for something that was not even worth $10 totally disappointed that’s why I gave it a rating of one totally disappointed they would never see my face again. I come all the way from Suffolk, Virginia. I was better off going to Captain D’s drive-through and got better service and pay half of the price. I noticed that North Carolina take the advantages of the tourist overpriced items should be a shame they
