My wife and I stopped in for lunch with our dogs. We ate on the deck and enjoyed a truly amazing meal. We ordered two sandwiches, the "Flew the Coup" and a Reuben. Both were quite good. The Reuben was a very traditional sandwich that was prepared as well as any I've had, though it wasn't as heavy on the meat as some I thought it was just right. The "Flew the Coup" sandwich was a unique creation that married Granny Smith apple slices, grilled chicken and balsamic vinaigrette with fresh greens, cheddar cheese and bacon to make a one of a kind sandwich that would be worth going back for. As the server (who recommended both) said, "The ciabatta roll soaks up the vinaigrette perfectly." As sides we had the homemade macaroni and cheese, which was truly some of the best I've ever had (I'd love the recipe!), and the Asian cucumber salad. The Asian cucumber salad consists of fresh, English cucumber marinated in ginger vinaigrette with just a hint of Mandarin orange. My wife plans to try and duplicate the salad she enjoyed it so much. I also enjoyed a perfect cup of tomato-basil soup. Delicious. We planned on rounding out our meal with their homemade banana pudding but, alas, they were out. I will definitely be trying that the next time we visit. We were waited on by two charming young ladies who were professional and friendly as well as very knowledgeable about the menu items. I highly recommend trying this place the next time you pass by and enjoy a great meal at a really great price!Parking: The restaurant has a nice ramp and appears wheelchair accessible.

Obviously they were short staffed. Only one server and at least 7 parties there. We stopped on way from our home in the OBX to the Eastern Shore to celebrate our anniversary and a family wedding. We stopped to grab a bite for lunch. We both ordered a flounder sandwich which as called “Sorry Charlie” and believe me it was sorry. The flounder was as flat as a pancake, fried crispy with absolutely no flavor. We may as well have ordered a lettuce sandwich. I was going to get the homemade pimento cheese sandwich and my hubby was going to get the Cuban but the flounder sounded so good. Our bill to walk away hungry was $42.78. We were highly disappointed and not sure if we will give it a try again. UPDATE: the owner reimbursed us for one sandwich which was very kind. We appreciate that and we will try it sometime again to give it a 3rd try as I have been twice. Thank you for doing that!

Classic Americana with a service that makes you feel like you are in your good friend's kitchen. Hometown, feel good and local at its best!

I got a breakfast burger with french fries, and it was great! The burger was great and the fries where pretty standard, but not bad. The waitress came at convenient times and was very kind. Great atmosphere with colourful art peices and painted wooden walls, and an overall homey feel. 9/10, would come again.Parking: Around a dozen spots in a sandy gravel lot.Kid-friendliness: Large grass lot for children to play, and a homey feel to keep them comfortable.
