I'm town for the VW show nearby. Stopped here on the way out. Reviews seemed a little harsh but there seems to be an issue with undercooked food, something to watch for.

Place looked clean enough but the 94 sanitation rating did give pause before ordering. We each picked a burger. The only issue we had with the cashier was an unexpected question (at low volume) about a single or double after having started the sandwich and side. Didn't know what he meant at first since we didn't understand double sides and the menu mentions / shows nothing about double burgers (it was single or double patties on the burger).

The fries are the coated kind (no thanks) but the onion rings were quite good. Burgers were both fine and as ordered.

Shortstops Burgers and Shakes This is how they treat customers that ask them to remake after THEIR mistake cause they didnt train the sweet gal at the cash register on the new POS system! I went through drive thru to order a Double All American only ketchup meal for my child, and a BBQ sandwich for me. Got home 12 mins later, the Dbl had only mustard and pickles on it. So I called, manager answered and I had to explain that it was wrong and now I had to drive there and back (24 mins) so my sandwich would be cold! She said she would replace both finally after pleading with her to understand i only get 1 hr lunch. I left house at 1251, arrived at SS at 103pm, left SS at 121pm, arrive home and then back to SS at 151pm!!! I got my replacements, get halfway down the road to see my BBQ sandwich is MINIMAL so I feared my child's burger was in bad shape. It SWIMMING in ketchup!!! WHY??? WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?? I have tried to call back, no answer. Once someone picked up and hung up on me. Im not one to go unheard. So here we are!! Do better! My child is so upset, they used THEIR OWN MONEY ON THIS MEAL!!! You are disgusting to treat someone this way in a very small limited town. Do better!!!!!

Service is beyond terrible in the mornings. Some days you will wait 10+ minutes in the drive-thru for someone to take your order and the next day your order will be taken right away only for you to have to wait over 20 minutes at the window for food that is sometimes still frozen in the center. Once Bojangles reopens this place won’t make it.

Sunday afternoon, no one in drive thru, two groups in house. 20 minutes to get order (3 combos). Lobby was out of sweet tea and ketchup. Operating below par will make it tough to remain in business in a small market. Hope I'm wrong, but it was sad to see. Inside is very nice and they are open Sundays, other than that, below average.

My husband and I went through the drive through I ordered a Dr Pepper without ice and cheese fries and double cheeseburger and my husband ordered him a cheerwine without ice and when we got home my cheese fries was hanging out the box and my double cheeseburger wrapper had cheese all over it and there was cheese everywhere it was a mess.
Both drinks was not supposed to have ice.
They could be nicer through the drive through.

My girlfriend went to get food from the drive thru and a car was broken down in the line and they made her come in and get here food. The food was cold and she had to throw it away because it was not eatable. This place has no true leadership and its employees are often rude and do not care. I came in 1 time and an employee came to work with no shirt on and was getting dressed in the dining area.

A group of 8 of us had lunch in Denton on a Wednesday. Plenty of parking. No wait to place order. Place was clean and well designed with plenty of booths and tables. Kid seats are also available.

Staff were all very friendly and treated us well. Milkshakes were very good and there's a self-serve filling station for sodas, tea (sweetened and unsweetened), lemonade, and water. Burgers were all cooked properly, no raw meat at all. Salads come in their own container and are generous and include all the condiments (salt, pepper, croutons, etc.) separately. All of our orders were correct, including our take-out orders.

I rate them 4-stars because the burgers come wrapped in paper that tends to make the food messy. Serving them on a plate or plastic basket would be better. Also, the background music was just a tad loud.

Overall, a better than average fast food experience.
