Bbq was excellent! Can’t wait to get back!
Stopped to see what the hype was about and I have to comeback to eat the ready of the menu. We got a bbq/chicken combo plate and it was yummy! Got a slab of ribs and turkey bbq to go.

Went here for work lunch with business client! We got the BBQ/ with white fried chicken plate. My sides were boiled potatoes and cabbage.
This is the best BBQ & chicken I have ever had in my life! We almost ate the bones on the chicken. The Bbq had the skin and succulent fat in it. The sides were seasoned to perfection. Hushpuppies were great too.
The plate was cleaned and we drank sweet tea to wash it all down.
When I say it was Yummy to my Tummy and made my stomach smile, believe it!

Today was our first visit to this gem but it won't be our last. The food was amazing! The bbq was delicious and the fried chicken was wonderful...crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The people were so nice. The food came out fast and hot and the prices were great for the amount of food you get. This place gets a 10 out of 10. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!
The people are so hospitable! And the food is very good ??

A friend and I recently visited Grady's BBQ in Dudley, NC after reading some online reviews. What a great experience. The hospitality was excellent. They made us feel like family. The BBQ was the best I've ever had. We met the owners Gerri and Steve and several members of their family. They gave us a tour and told us about the history of Grady's BBQ and how they cooked "Whole Hog" BBQ over wood coals. Definitely make plans to check out Grady's BBQ in Dudley, NC.

Excellent Eastern NC BBQ Our first time at Grady’s Worth the trip. Very friendly staff
The best eastern bbq I’ve had. It tops skylight,Stephensons and Parker’s.
Not a lot of seating inside but they do have picnic tables outside. Cash only. The staff was very friendly.

It has been decades since I had been to Grady's until the date above. Grady's was recently inducted into the American Royal BBQ Hall of Fame. To add to that, it was recently inducted into the NC BBQ Hall of Fame. If that isn't enough, the owners were also honored as the first recipient of the NC BBQ Revival Lifetime Achievement Award. But wait! Grady's is part of the NC BBQ Society's Historic BBQ Trail.
This is a small joint, maybe six tables, well kept and decorated with all its accolades and appropriate stuff. This is a cash only joint, so come prepared.
Several pics of their menu are posted here, so there's no need to elaborate on that. Recommend their chopped turkey (only available on some days, and they let us sample it before ordering) and their BBQ. Both moist and flavorful. The BBQ is whole hog and smoked. Their signature sauce is among my favorite vinegar/pepper zing of Eastern styles anywhere. Very strong and zippy. Their butter beans and green beans are excellent versions. Plates come with puppies, and we were not much on these. The ones we had were very tough. Fries were standard and ok.
^The chopped turkey is a total dark horse and worth a look!
The interior is somewhat hot, and food coming out is a tad slow. It should be mentioned that it was very busy with takeaway orders on the date above. Perhaps that contributed to the warmth and slowness. Expect both on busy days. The building is small, and folks waiting don't have much room to stand anywhere.
Grady's has stayed small and perhaps true to its roots in a lot of aspects. If you can overlook the interior temperature, the somewhat slow service, and the cash only, Grady's nails its reputation of being on the aforementioned Trail.

Grady's is definitely known for their bbq which is delicious fresh and taste good. Definitely enjoyed the collard greens which also had a good flavor I personally felt the cabbage wasn't quite to my liking but everyone season their cabbage differently. Hush puppies were ok but the sweet potato pie was definitely a 10/10. Not only is the food good but their customer service was great friendly and got my order out quickly.
