Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We enjoy Cracker Barrel for it's homestyle cooking, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and homey atmosphere. My husband enjoyed the Turkey dinner, and I loved the somewhat spicy grilled catfish. We highly recommend Cracker Barrel for its generous portions, and nice staff.

Vegetarian options: I believe you can order a few vegetables as side dishes, to put together a meatless meal.

WE decided to visit Cracker Barrel for the Thanksgiving spread this year, and the traditional meal was good. Turkey, dressing, gravy, green beans, and sweet potato casserole followed by pumpkin pie. The flavor and texture of all the meal items were excellent except the sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie. The sweet potato casserole was runny and lacking in flavor. But the dressing helped to give it substance in alternating bites. I was too full to eat the pumpkin pie, so I brought it home for a later treat. But their was an ingredient in the pie that brought an after taste of tin can, and I developed intestinal disturbance after eating about half of it. The crust was not fully done, and the spices used for flavoring were intense and overwhelmed the pumpkin. I saw lots of pies for sale in the gift shop, so I hope the Thanksgiving meal could offer options in the future. But I realize that the pumpkin is the least expensive to produce, so that will likely be the default dessert next year, as well. The turkey, gravy, and biscuits were the standard delicious that I have become accustomed to at Cracker Barrel.

The Cracker Barrel Homestyle Heat N' Serve Family Dinner is a feast that our family enjoys. The turkey and dressing, green beans, sweet potato casserole, yeast rolls, cranberry relish, and the added mashed potatoes are always perfect!

The directions that came with the package are easy to follow.

Over the past few years, the orders have been placed online. The items are ready for arrival, and the service includes smiles and a “Happy Thanksgiving!”

Went to Cracker Barrel yesterday. I had my first mimosa - a peach one and it was wonderful! My husband & I had the Thanksgiving platters. My favorites were the sweet potato casserole and the pumpkin pie while hubby enjoyed the stuffing and turkey the most. We bought a cinnamon roll pie to take home. It was spectacular!

Very nice stop along i-95, on a Thursday mid-afternoon. It was not busy at all, I can count the number of customers on one hand. Darryl my waiter was very nice and detective. And a woman that check out was very nice also. I have the beef melt, which was okay I had ordered it well so that's probably why the exterior had a little bit of a sear. All in all it was very filling
