I live in chicago and am surrounded by Mexican food, came here while visiting family, and it's the best Mexican food I've ever had. We tasted the salsa and instantly got excited because it was delicious! When the entrees came out, the burritos were HUGE and my boyfriend (who eats burritos constantly) said it was the best he's had.I got tacos (my favorite was the carnitas) & the horchata was also delicious and some of the best I've had.On top of the food, everyone in there was soooo nice!Come here ??

Hands down the best authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. You’ve got to try this place!! Everything made fresh in house, even the tortilla chips. Salsa Verde is “out of this world”!! Amazing family owned business who are so nice and friendly. Welcoming you with big smiles on their faces every time you go in. Would give higher than 5 stars if I could!!

Delightful family restaurant. Food was delicious, service thoughtful and considered. Beverages are purchased from a cooler which was slightly odd but not problematic. It feels like a restaurant still improving and growing, but in a positive way.Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and they were extremely accommodating. They make homemade tortilla chips in a dedicated gf fryer.
The reviews are all true. Service was fast & friendly. Can’t find food this fresh and made from scratch anywhere, anymore. Do not sleep on this place! 11/10 experience.

Okay. March 15th, 2024,...I took Lori and I out on a whim to a little Mexican joint just for the heck of it. Hole in the wall type of place...DUDE. This place is epic. Diego, our hosts/waiter was awesome. We got a super burrito and several tacos loaded.Everything was made in house....and we could tell... The tortillas, the Verde sauce, everything. I'm a musician and I know that charisma goes a long way, and Diego is awesome. Lori and I had one hell of a time tonight getting a few things. The prices are reasonable.... however, the atmosphere with Diego and his family is what made the random trip most awesome..

Fresh guacamole, hand made tacos and tortillas, fresh, hot home made chips were excellent. Nicely spiced food. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Gluten free options as well.
Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had! Everything, including the freshly made guacamole, was amazing. The service at this small family-owned restaurant was great. They were perfectly accommodating to our gluten-free needs. Do not let the modest interior turn you away.

Incredibly friendly staff with incredibly delicious and authentic food. The salsa verde was the best salsa I’ve ever had, and the queso birria tacos were the way all birria tacos should be. The cheese dip and fresh homemade tortilla chips went above and beyond what other restaurants are doing. I hope this restaurant sticks around forever and expands however much they want. 10/10 recommend and am excited for the future of this place and the people who work there.
