Amazing food and great service. Don’t let the basic appearance from the outside scare you away

Don’t sleep on this place. Best stop I’ve made off the highway. Great, authentic, high quality Peruvian food. Great folks here also!

Best little hidden gem in Benson. My husband had an Italian dish and I tried one of the Peruvian ones. We also had plantains as an appetizer. yum! Both plates were absolutely delicious, fresh, hot and full of flavor. We will definitely be back. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The portions were enough where we are both getting a second meal from our dishes. We highly recommend.

The food tastes great and the portion sizes are adequate. I rated the place two stars for service because we felt the waitress was overwhelmed, which affected the quality of service. She forgot to bring the forks even after we requested them and mistakenly delivered orders to the wrong tables. Additionally, she brought out a double portion of fries. I gave the food a three-star rating because my daughter’s chicken strips were undercooked.

Furthermore, the owner attempted to charge me a 20% tip, claiming it was their policy for groups of six or more. I asked where this service fee was posted in the store, but she remained silent and allowed me to set my own tip amount. I told her that restaurants typically display a sign at the entrance indicating a service fee for groups of six or more, so customers are aware before dining.

On our drive back to Massachusetts, we stopped in Benson, NC on a very cold evening. There weren’t many people out, and we were craving something homemade, warm, and comforting—comida hecha con amor. Being Puerto Rican, we searched for Latin food and discovered this Peruvian restaurant, and qué bendición encontrarlo.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly—como en casa. Our waitress was incredibly kind and informative. Since we had never tried Peruvian food before, she took the time to ask us what we usually like to eat and made recommendations based on our preferences. That personal touch—esa atención tan especial—meant everything to us.
The food did not disappoint—para nada. Everything was made fresh, served hot, and absolutely delicious—sabor auténtico de verdad.
My husband ordered Pescado a lo Macho ($27.99):
A fried fish fillet topped with seafood in a rich butter, parmesan, and ají amarillo sauce, served with white rice and yucca fries. He could not stop talking about how amazing it was—he literally kept making “MMMM noises” while eating 😂. Eso lo dice todo.
I wanted something flavorful but not heavy—algo rico pero liviano—so I ordered Arroz Chaufa ($14.99). The rice was fluffy and perfectly seasoned, mixed with egg, scallions, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, steak, and potatoes. It was comforting, full of flavor, and bien balanceado—exactly what I was craving.
This was truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had on the road—servicio con cariño, comida espectacular y ambiente acogedor.
100% recommend. Sin duda, volveríamos.💯

I'd heard of Gabrielas before, and so decided to test it out and make a 40min drive out there. It is convemoently located near an I95 exit so just a matter of hopping on the highway. Once I got there, I was met with very friendly staff, who immediately took my order and were able to provide good advice on what to order. The Ceviche was delicious and authentic, with great quality fish a d choclo. The rice (arroz chaufa) was juicy, a d very flavorsome. I took the food home and my wife and I were able to enjoy a great dinner from it as the portions are generous. The price was also great. I will be making this drive regularly, as I loved it!

Unfortunately it was not what I expected, the food does not represent the real Peruvian food! The terrible quality, I even got sick. However, the attention was very good.

Very good. We had the tallaren saltado and the chicken alfredo. Large portions delivered piping hot to the hotel near the interstate. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and excellent service. I called to place an order for 25+ people after a different restaurant cancelled my order for our Christmas party, with only 3 days of anticipation they were able to accommodate for me. I need it the food on a Friday before they open and when I got there everything was ready, perfectly cooked, delicious and very generous portions, a lot of people were able to take some food home. I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Today was the third time I've ordered from this wonderful restaurant I discovered on DoorDash. Each time, I've tried something different, and every dish has been incredibly flavorful and delicious. My husband and I absolutely love this place!

We were traveling back from Florida and lucked out when we found this place. The food was delicious and plentiful, lovingly prepared! Authentic Peruvian food. My husband had the Arroz con Marisco and he loved it. I had the Lomo Saltado and they offered me a special homemade sauce, slightly spicy but also light -- perfect with my beef! Friendly, attentive service. It was great chatting with the owner while his wife prepared our entrees. She also bakes the most gorgeous cakes, some of which are on display. Beautifully detailed cakes for kids' birthdays (or anyone who is young at heart) 😍 You really have to experience Gabriella's and see for yourself! A must-try in a world full of fast food and lookalike chain restaurants.
