Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q

This location has went downhill lately. We used to love going here but recently the customer service has been terrible. Went through the drive through and staff acted like we were bothering them just for trying to place an order. No smile, and a very annoyed “leave me alone” tone. If you’re looking for customer service, don’t go here. Extremely unwelcoming. We left there and went to zaxbys instead and the difference was night and day. Zaxbys has amazing customer service.

Good BBQ and chicken, their bake beans and hush puppies are really good, my wife likes their Cole slaw and potatoe salad also, plus the Brunswick stew is really good, I'm not much on vinegar base BBQ sauce, but I do like their red sauce, I get a jar of it every now and then, the service is really good and it doesn't take long to get your food.

I went through the drive thru around 1:55pm for a sweet tea and handed the guy in the window $20 and he handed me back $2. I informed him this was incorrect and he said he wasn’t paying attention and asked me to pull up. I sat there for 10 min so I went inside and the manager didn’t realize I was standing there and said “what is she claiming she gave you?” And snatched the money out of the register and continued to walk outside so I stopped him and said I’m right here. I said “I’m not claiming anything. I handed you a $20.” And he said he couldn’t prove that so I asked if they had cameras and he said “I was trying to check but I’m busy”. For one, the guy in the window wasn’t paying attention, for two… I have a 3 month old baby and they had no sense of urgency to help and was very rude. The older white manager was horrible.

My experience with this Smithfields was just disappointing! Went through the drive thru and waited for about 5 minutes then they took my order got to the pick up window and was told to pull up they were waiting for fries so pulled up waited for about another 10 minutes got my order opened the box to get my fries and they were cold feel the chicken and BBQ and it's cold also. Well then I got nothing to eat with and no straw or napkins! This Smithfields I have to say is the worst I've been to! I'll not be going to this one again!

My family enjoys the BBQ party meal. It comes with a quart of pulled pork, coleslaw, hush puppies and we add the baked beans. The hush puppies were really crispy out of the bag. We always get it to go. The traffic was wrapped around the building so I always go into order. Usually not an issue finding parking. The prices are comparable to most restaurants these days.

I came here and order a shrimp dinner. At the drive thru. I only stay 10 minutes away. When I got home the shrimps were cold and the tarter sauce was old. What a waste of money.

Smithfield is all around simply the best of the best... barbecue & chicken + delicious desert. Especially served with a smile, thank you so much, Jessica, for excellent customer service. I'll plan another visit soon.

I had like 15 French fries and hardley know shrimp, But enough cold slow to feed 3 people and hush puppies were burned. Bad 👎 for fourteen dollars.😡

We ordered the catering for 20 guests. The employees were very nice and helpful. They packed everything we needed and the food was great. Thank you.
