Smithfields was great!! The BBQ lacked sauce.. but it was still good. I loved the fried chicken and fries. You also have to order the sweet tea. Marcus(the assistant manager) was great at helping take care of us. Next time I am in NC I will come back just because of him. He truly exemplified great customer service. That means a lot.

We loved that the BBQ was so moist and flavorful. Vinegar sauce was delicious.Beans, Slaw, potatoes salad 5 star flavors.I wish we had one in SOUTH Carolina.We took out 3 lbs BBQ for the next night's family dinner.
If you want eastern NC style barbecue, this place is for you. The regular barbecue plate with Brunswick stew and cole slaw is my go-to meal. It is a splurge for me as a low-carb eater, but worth every extra carb for the day. Service is great. Be ready to wait on a Sunday afternoon.

We ordered the tender tailgate special with bbq and a extra pint off bbq. We received less than 12 pieces of chicken, didn't receive our sweet tea that was suppose to come with it or the buns that I substituted instead of hushpuppies. We tried calling and got no answer several times. It's alot we didn't receive for $68.96.

We left the drive thru got down the road about 7 minutes out and we did not get what we ordered. Wrong drinks - no hush puppies and also no receipt.. really a person shouldn’t have to check every item when you pay for a service. This is not the first time but it will be the last.. I don’t usually do this but it’s probably time to .. sorry but it’s the truth

Since nobody is going to answer the Smithfield phone, after more than 6 attempts. I went through the drive through around 1:15/1:20pm on Monday the 29.. order# 579. I ordered a large sweet tea and a pint of bbq. I didn’t drink my tea till I got home to find slimy black/green chunks in the bottom of my cup!!!!!! And syrup as thick as molasses.. It taste beyond sour atleast 2 if not 3 day old tea… Either y’all are reusing tea or your tea spouts probably have an ungodly amount of mold on them!! It honestly tasted like week old sun tea. I personally was not going to drive another 20+ mins to get a “ new “ drink/tea just for something else to happen to it.. let alone get a refund because I dumped it down our sink.. Wish someone would have picked up the phone to discard of the disgusting tea… reusing tea from the day before is DISGUSTING, y’all would not want to be served that WHEN WERE PAYING FOR FRESH/ FAST FOOD!!! Not to mention the $13 worth of bbq I ordered it didn’t look or taste like bbq.. it looked like I was given 1/2 shredded dark meat from chicken & 1/2 bbq. The order was under cashier #5, doubt they will do anything about this… I just know I won’t be coming back. Updating this review @6AM because I’ve been sick all night, love having FOOD POISONING, if it wasn’t from the moldy tea!!
