We had a great meal. Service was friendly and efficient. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Good selection of beer and nice cocktail menu. The pumpkin "biscuit," provided as a per-appetizer warm-up, was fantastic. Super nice facility with fantastic views of the water.
My husband and I made reservations while on business in North Carolina. It was the week of our anniversary and when we made the reservation they asked us if there was any special occasion. We told them it was our 26th wedding anniversary and were extremely surprised to see they had set up a table especially for us with congratulatory balloons, a hand written card and a video cassette explaining the history of the 51 house. Went there for Valentine's Day dinner. Best meal, filet mignon and shrimp, I've had. Total meal was a pleasure. Staff was polite and courteous. Whole experience was outstanding. Restaurant appearance is ideal.
