Sandwiches were made fresh with quality ingredients and they were huge. Consider spitting a sandwich between two people. Two sandwiches, one bag of chips and two drinks were $38. So a bit pricey for lunch. Everyone was friendly. The chef even spoke to us. This restaurant was clean. They do close at 3. I would go again but consider sharing a meal.

Whenever I’m in town, this is my go to lunch spot! A great deli, you can find something that fits your taste!
My favorite item is “One the Ranch” Wrap! A great wrap that provides plentiful protein and verggies!
Kris, Stacey, Ian, Kevin and the rest of the staff are some of the most welcoming people you’ll meet! They are not shy to start a conversation! If you’re looking for a great lunch item, stroll downtown and you won’t regret this place!

I ordered the Chowan Club Sandwich by calling ahead of time for pick up. Downtown roots does great business and has places to eat inside and out. Their team works so well with each other and they create tasty food in large portions. Super happy with my order!

My husband and I stopped for lunch. The food was AMAZING plus the place is cute and clean. The service was stellar, the people working there kind too. I had the tuna bowl and it was delicious on multiple levels. Fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation and all for a fair price. Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in Edenton. 9/13/24 was our second visit to Roots, and it was just as good as our first visit. There were several things that I wanted to try. I went with the Rachel Rueben, and it was awesome. I also wanted to try their fall salad with Brussels sprouts, butternut squash with pecans. I did see it being served to another customer, and it looked AMAZING. A must stop if you are Edenton.
