I just have to take a moment to sing the praises of Old Colony Smokehouse's secret dessert weapon - their baker is a genius! We've been ordering all our sweet treats from them for every occasion and they've yet to disappoint, which is impressive because let's face it, birthday and holiday pressure is real. We recently ordered a Hershey's bar cake for my dad's birthday and it was wow amazing, just like all their cheesecakes, cakes, and pies. If you know the baker, please pass along a high-five, because she's doing something right!

They are consistently amazing, friendly and there food is always fresh and top quality. The variety will have something that everyone can enjoy. Awesome absolutely awesome, can't say it enough simply awesome! Small dinning area but we had a seat when we arrived. However, i can see this as a problem at times.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Old Colony Smokehouse, and I can confidently say it’s a hidden gem for barbecue lovers! I ordered the pork ribs, and they were nothing short of amazing. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—every bite melted in my mouth.
What truly stood out, though, was the owner’s dedication to customer service. He made it a point to personally chat with every customer, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on Old Colony Smokehouse. The combination of delicious food and genuine hospitality makes it a must-visit!

Old Colony Smokehouse is incredible! The food was absolutely amazing—hands down the best brisket and ribs we’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really sets this place apart is the owner. He personally talked to every customer who walked through the door, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. If you’re anywhere near the area, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Visited for the first time today at 1230 knowing it would probably be busy. When we walked in, we were met with AMAZING smells, an awesome atmosphere, and it was packed! There was a long line, but it moved extremely quick, and it was my time to order before I was truly done trying to decide what I wanted, and by time we got done ordering, there was seating available.
Service is sort of help yourself on the drinks,sauces, etc but the staff behind the counter were extremely quick and friendly, and so were the ones in the dining area keeping it clean.
The food: I wanted to try as much as I could, so my family (2 adults, 2 kids) split a 3 meat combo plate, and a pulled chicken plate. All together we tried the pulled chicken, pulled pork, ribs, brisket, slaw, mac & cheese, baked beans & green beans. All were FANTASTIC, and I would (and will) happily order any of them again, BUT...The BRISKET! ABSOLUTE 🔥🔥🔥. Probably the best Ive ever had, and it was worth the trip just for that! As far as portions, we all got our fill off of those 2 plates, and even left with a to go box containing another whole meal worth.
Not sure how Ive never been there until today, but there will certainly be return trips in the future. Edenton has a gem with this place. Great job guys!
