So good that we went here twice in less than a week. Staff was amazing! Bartender and wait staff friendly and helpful. I was really impressed with the gluten and dairy free options.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options.

We had a delightful lunch. Sindy took excellent care of us, was attentive, food came out quickly, drinks were never low. Husband enjoyed fish & chips while I enjoyed their burger. Scratch-made ice cream, we chose blackberry cheesecake. Yum! We’ll be back!!! I love that they’re open every day.

Rude staff, waited 20 minutes and didn’t even get acknowledged let alone a drink. Also very loud and annoying

My wife and I drove 3 hours to visit this location. When we got inside, we were seated; and our drink orders were taken. Once we received our drinks, we placed our food order a short time after. After sitting for a while, my drink glass sat empty for a bit. A while later, the food was brought out by a food runner. The waitress finally asked us if we needed more drinks, and we accepted the offer. My wife and I ate our food, and was never checked on during our meal. My drink glass sat empty yet again. My burger was overcooked, but they wouldn’t know; because no one checked on us. When we were done, we waited even longer for the check. My wife and I are really good tippers, but in this case; we let the service reflect the tip. Please check on your customers, as they are what make a business. I would not return to this business ever again. For it being a 3 hour drive, we were very disappointed.

A large party of 18 people came in shortly after we were seated. With all the hard surfaces, the normal happy conversation was almost deafening. Would highly recommend adding some soft surfaces to the ceiling and walls to reduce the noise.

Pleasantly surprised, rustic farmhouse vibes. Wood fire pizza is on point! Drinks were tasty. We will definitely be back.

Food was just ok. Salad came with no dressing which can be a mistake. Asked waitress for more there was no apology. Wait staff did not take the time to ask if everything was ok at all. Manager walked past multiple times and never asked about service or food. Seems like this place would do good with some outside help for some customer service/hospitality help. It has potential maybe they are nicer to locals than visitors.

The Herringbone in Edenton has been one of our favorite places to patronize for fine dinning. We gave “Grace” our 1st visit because it was newly opened… staffing issues. We arrived at 3:30 -4:00 and sat 30 mins before anyone came to our table. We were then told it was not time for the evening menu, apparently we’d arrived between changing of the shifts? … we were told we’d have to order drinks and wait until the appropriate time when orders were taken for evening meal which was 5:00 best I can recall. We excused that visit because they were new… learning curve we thought. We left. We did go back numerous times to patronize The Herringbone because they are basically the only restaurant open on Sunday for a good meal. We enjoy the atmosphere for the most.Brunch is always awesome! However on 2/11/24 my wife and I met our friends for brunch and we were astonished at the noise level of the staff while they were literally breaking down tables all around us as we tried to eat and have a conversation with our friends. This loud ruckus went on the entire time of our visit. Hammering the metal legs of the table, extremely loud & absolutely not acceptable.I understand they needed to set up for the “Special Event” that evening however; not at our expense. My wife did call and speak with the manager. She wasn’t too happy with his response. He Apologized for “the ruckus” but stated it was necessary & the only the way his staff could break down the tables & if he’d been there overseeing it’d been handled differently. I’m not sure why the employees were not trained properly? This is a prime example of Poor leadership & pitiful customer service. The Manager was not very interested in our point of view considering our dinning experience which was not what one would expect at the Herringbone.Sadly, after reading multiple reviews… it seems the manager doesn’t seem to offer anything but a fast & snappy tone of “I apologize for your Dinning experience” …in my opinion, this is not the way customers expect to be treated. We are Very disappointed in the experience of Dinning at the Herringbone on Sunday and extremely disappointed with the manager’s inability to make this situation right. However; this seems from reading other complaints this is his norm response. This is Inexcusable & if locals aren’t treated in a respectful manner why would we/they suggest Dinning at the Herringbone when we/they have family/friends visiting this area? We are disappointed in reading how others have been treated by the manager/staff.
