This place is a staple in Edenton and always a go too place to dine. Brian and his team work hard to give you the best of service and food that is always good. Everything about Waterman's is great and definitely a must try when visiting this great town.

Went there last night 3/30/26, food was excellent. But $28 for a double crown and coke??? We were charged for 2 drinks not an extra shot! We live in a small town in the middle of nowhere, not New York city. You just lost a couple good customers 😒

This was supposed to be the nicest restaurant in town... well, it had the worst food we ate during our stay. The crab cake was almost inedible, surprisingly, as it's a seafood place. Service was slow and unfriendly. Never going back.

We took our friends there for their 49th anniversary and they were very pleased. Our server was attentive and friendly.
Would have enjoyed our meal more had they come with freshly cooked veggies instead of the canned/frozen stuff. My husband enjoyed his Cajun Tuna dinner, and I loved the lemon pepper scallops on my salad. Wish that the same scallops were an option for a dinner plate.

Cute place and friendly staff but was a mistake coming a second time to see if the first was a fluke. If you want nice people, atmosphere and just drinks, perfect. If you want good food find something else. Very disappointing.

My wife and I have been here twice since moving to the area, both times have been less than good. Last evening we ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms with Crab as an appetizer and when it came out, we didn't recognize it and thought it was a mistake. We couldn't see any mushrooms and the crab cake on top was a smashed thin almost fried crab cake. It wasn't broiled! The mushrooms were with the stems and very small . You can buy premade Stuffed Mushroom Caps with a lot better presentation than these were! My wife ordered one of the soups and a Chef's Salad. The soup was barely warm and the roll that came with it was hard as a rock. I got the Mahi Mahi Sandwich with Sirachia sauce. I asked for lettuce and tomato and I got a sliver of lettuce, not even a half of a leaf of lettuce. The Sirachia sauce had no flavor. The service was good, but the food is not. We will not be back.

Our food came out cold. We asked that it be sent back to be warmed up and our meals were re-made. T he broccoli with hollandaise was very tasty. We ordered keylime pie for dessert and it came out as a frozen concoction rather than the standard. Although a bit of a surprise, I'm not sure why they don't tell you ahead that it is more like sorbet.

Can’t stop thinking about the ahi tuna appetiser. Had a wonderful meal with my fiancée last night, I had 2 different types of tuna, great portion sizes and we split a chocolate dessert. Lovely location. The ONLY critique I have is that we were very cold upstairs. Glad we brought our jackets! Other than that, can’t wait to go back.
