We came for a little weekend getaway and were so thrilled with our stay! The rooms were clean with calming outdoor scenery. We were able to relax! Our meals at the restaurant were thoughtfully prepared and flavorful! We enjoyed Chef Timothy’s menu for dinner and breakfast! There’s a nature park adjacent to the winery, and we went for a morning run on the paved trail. There’s even animals to visit and pet on the grounds (it was fun to see the donkey and miniature horses!) Cape Fear Winery has a lot to offer—we will definitely be back!Walkability: You can walk to everything in the grounds of the winery!Food & drinks: I had a filet mignon meal that was tender and flavorful! We enjoyed the new breakfast menu too!! (The cheesecake is worth it!)Noteworthy details: There’s pretty decor/garden statues about the property. We like that you can walk around the property to go to eat and on the trails nearby. We saw Elvis the peacock walking about too!

Beautiful! We took a short trip to Elizabethtown just to see this place, and were more than impressed with the atmosphere. This place is simply beautiful, and even though the parking lot was full (they were hosting a murder mystery dinner night), it still felt very private and peaceful. We were able to walk around the whole property with no interruption. The rooms feel brand new, and are built into many small buildings divided in the center, so you only have a neighbor on one side and you get your own back porch with rocking chairs facing the water. The wedding areas are all very nice as well, and great to explore. There is a day spa on site, as well as a little shop, a distillery, and a restaurant. Great place for couples visiting for a weekend (we really wish we could stay longer) who are looking for a serene getaway. The whole team working here were very welcoming, like we were old friends! I highly recommend anyone take some time to explore this place and see all that it has to offer. Shout-out to Chef Timothy and the guys (and Susie!) for making this a great last trip for us before we spend the next 6 months at home with a new puppy. You guys are killing it!Rooms: Very nice rooms. Everything feels new!Walkability: So much room to explore and walk off the fantastic meal we had at the restaurantFood & drinks: GREAT food!

Grounds are a delightful surprise tucked away in the country. The vineyards, waterside seating and rose bushes must be so lovely when in season. Loved the fun little petting farm, shop with tasteful gifts and there’s even a day spa.Had dinner at the Cork Room to celebrate Valentines Day. Husband had the ribeye, I had the shrimp and grits. Both were tasty and cooked to perfection. They had plenty of gluten-free options, including GF buns for the burgers and GF pasta for any of the dishes, which made it hard to decide what to eat! Chef Timothy’s chocolate trifle was a light and scrumptious finale to the meal. Will definitely be back!

The Valentine's Day dinner was everything you would hope for your valentine. The food was remarkable the salad was refreshing then the bruschetta was a great appetizer, then the entree was to die for the Filet was perfectly cooked. To end our meal was the dessert the sweet heart chocolate trifle. This was a night I will never forget.
