It is an acceptably average mcdonalds. My fries were nicely seasoned which was nice.

The service/customer service was literally the best I've ever had at a McDonald's.
Plus the inside is modern and clean.

Of this location asks you to pull up and wait for your order decline because they will send you to a spot and forget about you and you will be waiting for 15 min to get your food until you decide you have waited long enough and have to go in to get it. Then they have the nerve to act surprised and offended because you have been waiting forever for your food.

They are NOT KID FRIENDLY WHAT SO EVER ! Had an horrible experience today . My 5 year old daughter wanted the hello kitty kids/ninja turtles meal that you guys have advertised on the menu . She got a 6pc kids meal with double fries and chocolate milk. I was told to move forward after being given my price . I asked the lady I seen preparing the kids meals boxes if they had the hello kitty toys in that was being advertised, and she said yes they do . Had to pull forward to another window to receive my food . And my 5 year old opened her box to a sonic the hedgehog toy instead . And I was told to pull forward to the 3rd window for my food . Once my food was brought to me I ask the lady very nicely if I could have hello kitty toy for my daughter because she was given a sonic the hedgehog toy instead because my daughter was fussing about hello kitty . So she walks away leaving the window WIDE OPEN . While the manager and the surrounding coworkers talked smacked , as if I’m blind , death , and dumb . I heard the lady tell the other woman she wants the hello kitty toy instead of sonic the hedgehog because her daughter is fussing and that rude lady gone say well she better take it and call it hello kitty today , that’s what’s she’s gonna get it is that toy because that is hello kitty . But OBVIOUSLY common sense ain’t that common to wanna belittle a child when obviously she can’t read , must be blind and dumb because hello kitty ain’t sonic . And if that’s all they had on hand you could’ve just said that instead of making a child cry . Just rude and UGLY . For no reason .

I went to McDonald’s of Elizabethtown on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 after having placed a mobile order at 7:20 am for curbside pickup. I arrived and parked in spot #8 at 7:25 am. I made sure to check in on the mobile app immediately after parking. I then in turn waited well OVER 15 minutes without a single McDonald’s employee coming outside. I then went thru the drive thru, stopped at the speaker, and announced my name and that I was here for a curbside pickup that never came outside. The teller prompted me to pull forward to window #1. At window #1, said employee stated she was unfortunately and unable to print me a receipt because she couldn’t get the machine to work. Then at the second window, two Hispanic women BOTH standing in the widow with heavy face AND eye make up for 8:00 am, did not give me syrup or butter for the hotcakes order. Imagine that. Two people working the drive thru window and NEITHER checking nor giving me syrup or butter for an order that comes with syrup and butter. I therefore asked and the second woman standing closer towards the inside of the restaurant said “that will be 53 cents”. I responded, “I didn’t receive it at all” all while turning the now emptied paper bag upside that had contained the hash brown. She didn’t apologize for her mistake and instead she, the same one closest to the inside of the restaurant, proceeded to YELL at an employee out of my view and shouted, “YOU DIDN’T PUT THE SYRUP IN THE BAG. YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!” That right there a projection because she couldn’t and dared not yell at me and it was also very unprofessional. If I could give this location zero stars I would.

Ordered curbside delivery at 11:17 am. 2 drinks. Waited in the curbside spot for 20 minutes, finally went inside to retrieve my order from the clueless staff member who was more intent on flirting with her co-worker than serving the customers.
What’s the point of curbside service when you pay no attention to the customers?

I been to many Mcdonald's in the states. The staff is attentive, the service is quick, and the food is cooked to perfection.

Good food compared to some McDonald's..I would eat there again.

Terrible attitudes, no attention to order accuracy, food always served cold, worst tea makers in ALL of NC...If this is a consistent issue....why not fire all the managers and start over? This is a systemic management issue that rolls down to even the newest employee. If the managers aren't being held accountable and neither is the staff...do you really expect people to WANT to eat here? I'm not really surprised though...the whole company seems to not care about customer service. Keep doing things the way you have...I've seen McDonald's get closed down before...hopefully corporate will pull their franchise and a decent restaurant can come into Elizabethtown...show you guys what good food and food service looks like. Clearly the people working there have no concept of that.

I wouldn't tell people I'm a manager at this store if it were me. Three visits since moving back to the area and ALL of them had major issues. They do not care. But, this is a management problem that isn't going to be fixed without cleaning out the poorly trained crew and replace with people who realize that the customers like their food hot, correct, and without an attitude. They get away with this level of indifference because the higher ups don't care either. Where else is everyone going to go? Like the other ones around here....they weren't all that great before COVID....and they haven't gotten better. But, we all know that. They aren't going anywhere, so we just keep putting up with it.

The young folks running things on last Friday.... Top notch. Excellent customer service. I wanted to poach them to hire myself. But I didn't want to stop their flow. Great job y'all!! 💪🎉
