I have been a big fan of San Jose in Elizabethtown. But, I wonder if they have changed cooks. I love my polo salad. But the last to times I got it the chicken was burnt and hard. Very disappointed. I have bragged about this salad now burnt

I visit here yearly and have never been dissatisfied. I will, however, suggest getting the Pescado San Jose: Mahi Mahi fillet with fresh shrimp, mushrooms, spinach, roasted peppers in a delicious white wine sauce. Served with your choice of rice or mashed potatoes for $17.75. I choose the potatoes and this was the single best dish I have ever gotten at a Mexican restaurant!!

San Jose's fajitas are a flavorful treat! Tender, sizzling, and packed with the best ingredients. And the fresh guacamole is the perfect creamy, zesty companion. A definite favorite! I would definitely recommend!

What a great place to eat in Elizabethtown! Food and staff are both amazing! The owner is down to earth and such an amazing person. There are too many awesome employees to start naming them. But the service has always been GREAT! The food is done fast and you can be in and out in less than 45 mins during supper, even when they are packed! It’s a huge restaurant that holds many people, has a bar area and also a room for large groups. Birthday parties are a hit too!

This restaurant is beautiful. The atmosphere is great too. The Latino music was not too loud at the time we were there. The server was great, kind, and attentive. Now the food: so delicious. Excellent flavor, generous portions. I just can’t say enough. Definitely going back when we get the opportunity!

5 star experience! Love the outside of the building and the inside decor! Then we had a wonderful, young blonde waitress (wish I knew her name) who was extremely knowledgeable and on top of her job! The food was delicious! My husband loved the street tacos. Only thing is on the receipt I saw a “customer assistance fee”.. not sure what that was about as I’ve never seen that before but didn’t mention it to staff as it was not a large amount and everything else was great!

This was our go to when we are in the area, but the last few times we have gone the quality and flavor of the food has continued to go down and will find a new place to go. Steak meat was ridiculously tough, other meats flavorless and enchiladas just looked like they were missing sauce and cheese on top. Salad was served with rotting fruit. Management really needs to get quality control again.

Always a great experience! I try something new every time I go and haven’t had anything bad. Service is always quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the times and the wait is normally not bad if at all. We always go while we are visiting the lake.
