As wine people, this place is amazing! Make this your first stop on your wine tour! The wine tasting is fantastic (we loved the chardonnay - even though we are red wine people), but the best part was Mandy! Very informative about the wines; but also about the area (lodging, restaurants, events, etc)! Most personalized experience we've had in the area!! We will make this our first stop everytime we come through! Also kid friendly!
We enjoyed a fantastic and informative tasting at this very nice vineyard Monday afternoon.
Mandy shared a lot of great info and also educated us on several topics- all while juggling 4 separate groups at various stages of tastings. Impressive!
Will definitely be back!
Mandy was friendly and knowledgeable. Their tasting room is small but comfortable. Our group of 4 knows something about wine and we did not like any of the wines. We would not recommend this winery. The flavored pimento cheese they sell was very tasty. The actual vineyard is not by the tasting room/house.
This was our first visit and we learned a lot about their wines and the best ways to taste and enjoy them. Our hostess was knowledgeable and had a great personality- you could tell she loved what she does! She walked us through each wine and we enjoyed them. Nice open area inside with lovely wines !
We had purchased the wine passport to tour many of the area’s wineries & Adagio was the first winery we visited. Staff was friendly and informative. They even paired some of the wines with a smidgen of cheese from Red Clay Gourmet. It was a lovely visit and introduction to the area wineries.
One of our winery high points! Mandy took us on a joyful, informative tour of Adagio wines. We learned a lot…and had some great wine! We’ll definitely return on our next trip.
We have been going to Adagio since 2015 and have loved it every time we go back. The wine is always great, the people always friendly, and the experience is always peaceful and fun! The tasting room is so cute and clean, and you can bring your own food and sit anywhere. I love how they still do tastings at the counter and explain each wine. The owner Tim is such a nice person, very knowledgeable about wine, and nice to chat with. He gave us a personal tour of the barrel area and explained the wine making and bottling process to us on our most recent visit. It may not have the scenery of some more “popular” vineyards, but the experience and wine is way better! We will continue to go back and continue to bring friends to experience this amazing vineyard!
Spent the weekend with 12 young women touring vineyards in Elkin and Adagio wasn’t originally on our list, but since it was so close we decided to check it out. Upon arriving Mandy was super bubbly and inviting of all 12 of us. She gave us tips for enjoying the wine and suggested some pairings, she knew how to keep our attention and kept us engaged. She was super attentive and her energy lit up the room!! Adagio was my favorite of all the vineyards visited and Mandy played a huge role, she was amazing!!!! If you’re thinking about checking it out… DO IT
My wife and I visited Adagio for the first time on a late Saturday afternoon in the fall. We wanted to enjoy a bottle of red, and after Tim the winemaker gave us tastes of the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Petit Verdot, we opted for the latter. Since a wine tour group was inside, we opted to sit outside on the porch and enjoy the autumnal weather. The wine was quite good, and Tim checked on us to see if we needed anything.Although almost all of their grapes grow out of sight from the winery, the hospitality and (especially) the wine itself earn Adagio high marks. Their prices are very reasonable, particularly when compared with nearby Vineyards. Restrooms are clean and have nifty copper-bowl sinks, and there is a cool outdoor area with a sink and fire pit, apparently for events.
Mandy was so welcoming to our group of 12! She’s so knowledgeable and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She’s such a gem. Definitely visit this place if you’re in town.

Great facility, great wines.
Very nice wines and company!
Best experience at a vineyard ever! Our wine-ista was fantastic! Great energy, so much information! The wines were delicious but the overall experience was by far the best of weekend. Thank you so much for such a personalized experience and making our entire groups day.
Absolutely fabulous! The tasting room is separate from the vineyards but WORTH THE VISIT! Mandy was our “wine-rista” and she was super bubbly, kind, and knowledgeable about the wines, the process, and the history of Adagio vineyards. She walked us through the various wines, the notes and flavors of each, and gave us reviews for places to eat afterwards! I can’t stress how wonderful Mandy was, or how delicious the wines are! The Chardonay, the Arandell, the Coda. All wonderful. Please stop by this tasting room. You will NOT be disappointed
Mandy is not only very knowledge but super sweet! The wines are great with something for everyone!
