The service levels are definitely lacking at this restaurant. Two weeks ago we waited at the hostess station for over five minutes before someone came to seat us and then waited at the table for over fifteen before we got our drink order in. Tonight we arrived at 8 and this time we waited just under ten minutes for the hostess who informed us they had two large parties and were closed. The parking lot was half empty and we were refused service an hour before closing. This was my last trip to a place I once loved.

The pirates landing was wonderful! The food was great, the service was great, and it was surprisingly affordable. We were all full and happy when we left. We will definitely be back.

Excellent prices,and very good cla. Chowder,and fried shrimp,also sea food grouper with crab.meat stuffed was good too.Atomosphere was excellent.So much tp see in there,the place is like eating on a pirate ship,and fish to feed outside in the pond.

I was very disappointed with my $26.00 buccaneer captains style platter. Over all the shrimp, scallops, oysters, were good even though I think I only got two or three each. However where they fell extremely short was on the Flounder. The picture below doesn’t even do justice on how piss poor this little tiny piece of fish was. Heck I’d pay $30 if you made the plate as it should be. I did communicate with the server who intern communicated with someone in the kitchen who sent words back to me that this is how it should be. Well, let me tell you Yadkin Valley Seafood doesn’t do you like that. Mayflower Seafood doesn’t even do you like that. My first job @ 15 was at a seafood restaurant called Grandview seafood we turned out beautiful flounder with two huge fillets on every plate. I know times are different now, but it was eight bucks back then now it’s 26 for the same thing. Come on guys you can do better than this, foods is expensive for everyone. You keep screwing all of your customers over and one day you’re gonna wake up your pirate ship is going to be sunk.

Food was great. Fish sandwich and baked sweet potato and three options to the fish dinner plus fries. All was great. Service was attentive and spot on. Hush puppies were delicious. Pirate theme throughout the restaurant. While we were there two groups came in - 14 and 7 and you would never know those large groups were there. Lots of room and noise buffers between groups of tables.
Parking: Plenty of free parking. Fish pond outside for kids of all ages.
We have been here several times and have always had a great experience. The atmosphere is one of a kind and very spacious and accommodating for larger parties (this time we had a party of 11). Given that it's a little bit of a drive from where we live it makes the experience here that much more special with family and friends. Staff has always been nice, never a bad experience with either food or service. We will continue to make our special trips here for a long time. P.S. while I love seafood, the ribs were top notch, and you always have to get the potato wedges with whatever you order.
Good was fabulous, atmosphere was fun, and service was good... our drinks stayed empty for over 30 minutes before she came back but it was still worth the trip from VA.
