First time visiting this place and I'm already in love! The image with this post is "The Wildcat" with a side of Mac n' Cheese. I can confidently say that the sandwich was absolutely amazing! The brisket was savory with a hit of sweet. I was definitely bummed out when I ate all of it. As for the Mac n' Cheese, I had high expectations due to the sandwich but it fell short. It was bland and stiff. It didn't feel like it was prepared fresh, it seemed like it was preportioned hours ago and then microwaved when I ordered it.
With that being said I do highly recommend "The Crazy Pig" as a place to eat. Great environment with an even better atmosphere. I felt warm and at home when I first walked in. It always feels good to eat at a small, local restaurant and not a huge chain restaurant where quality is low, customer service is lower and prices are high. I'll be coming back in the near future to try more of there savory sandwiches! I won't let a little bad Mac n Cheese deter me from coming back!

now I had no issue with the service at all to put that out there the young lady was very kind and helpful. So after being in Elkin multiples times now and wanting to try out this restaurant and considering using for a big order for a event in the future and plenty of people telling me that they have good food, but come to find that this is not a very good representation of bbq had the 3 meat platter with a side of mac and cheese and side order of hush puppies and was pretty dissatisfied the hush puppies were burnt and the Mac and cheese tasted like a frozen meal that’s was warmed in the microwave, onto the meat the pulled pork was extremely greasy and had no flavor the chicken from the looks of it appear to be well seasoned but again disappointed by the lack of spice, lastly the brisket granted I get some restaurants don’t have the capability to use a pit, but when It taste more like a chuck roast that was pan fried in oil very disappointed to call this bbq without a single smoke ring or hint of smoke/grill flavor, even though the sauces taste decent. I’m sorry I wish this place the best but it’ll be awhile until I go back. I have never left a review this in-depth but I wouldn’t discourage any one from trying it and make their own opinion

Never heard of this place, but stopped in for dinner before a show at the Reeves Theatre. Pleasantly surprised! The young lady at the counter was delightfully helpful and sweet. The food was delicious, came out quick and the portions were more than generous! I definitely can’t get BBQ this good in my hometown so we may be traveling back this way just to eat here!

Got the pulled pork and pimento cheese grilled cheese the meat was dry and salty and greasy. Pretty much inedible. The Mac and cheese was great and all the diff sauces were good but couldn't save the messed up pork.

Super laid back restaurant in downtown area. Everything was clean, service was fast and food was hot when delivered. We ordered the 3 meat platter and the BBQ Tacos. They have many different BBQ sauces to try. Beware the portions are huge. Everything tasted great. We will definitely be back.

Came here for lunch with a work team. Most had brisket and the brisket was disappointing. I had the brisket sandwich with slaw and fried pickles. The brisket was fatty and sloppy. The bread couldn’t hold up to the juice and fell apart. I ate the brisket separately. Seemed more like it was made in a slow cooker with liquid smoke. The table was disappointed . Fried pickles and hush puppies were good.
