Recently drove 4+ hrs & paid $$$ to see Scythians. Show was supposed to start at 8 pm. After 1+ hours of listening to the warm up band which I would not have paid to see, the Scythians appeared on stage. They performed some good songs and some less good. They did not deliver the performance I remember from Merlefest. It was not worth my time, effort & money. Clearly many in the audience felt differently. For me, it's a one & done. Probably won't make the trip again.
The Martha Bassett Show at the Reeves Theater is a hidden gem that you don't want to miss. What a thrill to watch radio happen live!

Came in for the night from Charlotte to see The Reeves theater. Did not disappoint !! The music, the sound were unbelievable. Great cafe and bar. This is worth the 1.15 min drive from Charlotte to sit in this old theater and listen to the bands.
