A truly memorable meal paired with exceptional wine. We can't wait to return.
Food is just incredible. We had Caesar salad and a crab cake - delicious - and then beef bourguignon. Wow, so glad we were there!

This place is such a gem. The wine choices are wonderful- wine knowledge incredible and the food… oh my goodness. The food is incredible. We discovered the Wisdom
Table a year ago for their wine selection. Came back this year on our anniversary for dinner. The food was so incredible we came back the second night because why be disappointed elsewhere?! Best pork belly I have ever tasted. Charcuterie, crab cake, watermelon salad, catfish, oh my! Congrats guys, what an incredible spot this is. We will be back!

The Wisdom Table offers wines from around the world, and sommelier Jeremy to guide you with selections, if you like.
Went there for an early dinner - opens 5:30PM, reservations available. Plenty of seating at regular & high top tables, as well as around a massive bar.
Dinner selections were great & lamb as well as the pesto pasta shrimp dishes were well prepared and excellent for our palette.
And the Blackberry Sonker - delicious.
House made desserts.
Certainly would like to return for another tasty meal and bottle of wine.
Seating is all inside, and a very large space indeed - music filled the space, otherwise it may have been an echo effect while talking.

What an unexpected gem in a quaint little town. These folks are not messing around and put out some quality food and wine. The space is an old 1930s Belk department store that they renovated which is neat and the jazz music really added to the vibe. Lovely and delicious!

What a gem! I had had dinner across the street and decided to call in here for a glass of wine. It exceeded my expectations - lovely staff, an amazing food menu (I had a delicious bread pudding), and a huge choice of wines (we tried the Carolina flight and the Austrian flight). It was such a lovely end to an evening. Next time I’ll go back for the full menu!

My husband and I were in Traphill for a weekend mountain getaway and traveled into Elkin for dinner. This little unassuming restaurant inside a wine bar is top notch and their food could blow some restaurants in Raleigh out of the water. The food was fresh, perfectly prepared, and truly delicious. I don’t personally drink so I cannot speak for the wine. We both started with a salad and both salads were fresh, crisp, and came with lots of toppings! I then had the steak which was freshly cooked and incredibly fresh. My husband had the shrimp and grits and they were some of the best he has ever had. Highly recommend this wonderful little restaurant is you’re in the area.

So I hate the term "best kept secret" but it certainly applies to this place. OMG. From the outside it appears to just be a wine shop (an awesome one at that). Inside there is a small restaurant just past the wine bar. The owner is a sommelier and the chef is incredible. Very small menu, but who needs more than about 4-5 entrees to choose from? We started with the seasonal salads, yum yum on the dressing. We started with one wine to go with this and their choices were spot on.I had the Berkshire Pork Bone In Rack and my husband had the Angus Tenderloin. We had different wines to go with these. Again, everything was incredibly prepared, meats were tender, sauces were perfect. We ended the meal with glasses of Port.My only slightly negative comment is that for someone who doesn't do milk (lactose intolerant), the choices were limited. But I was able to find excellent choices.(PS, we were staying across the street, so no driving after this).
