Since this is the only restaurant on the main road, I can see why people have no other option, but to enlighten this establishment. Stopped in to check it out since it said barbecue. Since nothing on the menu for barbecue looked even remotely appetizing, we opted for the chicken fried steak. Please be aware that if you’re hungry, this establishment does portion control with toddler plates that section off your food. They do a great job of not overfilling each compartment and making sure that there’s only enough there to fill the spot allotted. A small portion of potatoes, a small portion of vegetables, and so on. The main course, which you would think for a chicken fried steak would be you know fill up half the plate only came out like four bites and we’re obviously frozen and cut into shapes. You will receive two of these small pieces, a small portion of mashed potatoes and a small portion of vegetables all for the glorious price with a drink of $18.. bon appétit?♂️?

I’ve been here on twice but won’t be going back. I normally order the bbq sandwich and fries and I’ve also had their fried fish. Today I order a 1/2 chicken with bbq sauce on the side thinking I was getting real bbq that’s been smoked or grilled. Instead I got bland chicken that had no seasoning, no flavor whatsoever. I called the lady to see what happened to the seasoning on my chicken and she told me they bake their chicken and put bbq sauce on it with no seasoning. This was the blandest chicken I’ve ever seen in my life. It had no flavor, didn’t look good and didn’t taste good. You can’t cook food, put bbq sauce on it and call it bbq. That’s robbery if you ask me.

Driving back from a doctor appt that was in NC, I was in the mood for bbq. I was so impressed when GPS brought me to this place. It was packed and had a hard time finding parking. It was hard to decide what to get . The prices were really good compared to other bbq places I've been.

I went here with my family and it took forever for our food to come out, almost 30 minutes. It was busy but not crazy. When our food came out, my flounder portion was maybe 1.3 oz once I took the skin off, which was inedible. I was completely shocked. I've never seen such a small flounder filet in my life. It was over cooked too. My husband order the bbq, and that came out in a MASSIVE portion, but it was unfortunately minced so fine it had the texture of cat food. It wasn't very good either. We definitely won't be going back or recommending it to anyone.

Great place with an awesome menu! This place is a throw back and has great food and service. Nothing fancy, but run the way all business should be run. Wait staff was super friendly as well as everyone else on staff. It was a pleasure having a quick lunch in such a relaxed and "old school" restaurant. Homemade goodies throw it over the top!
