Went for the first time a few weeks ago. It was a Saturday night and they were out of NY strip, rolls/bread, and mint for the mojito drink they had as the first cocktail on their drink list. The ribeye was very flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. Low rating for the atmosphere because I feel like my husband and I got stuck in the side room with all the kids, not my ideal dinner night out. Service was a little slow. We may try it again in the future. It has the potential to be better given they stock all of the items on the menu and improve the service.

My wife and I had our first date here on Valentine’s Day in 2016. We live in Charlotte now but we’ve been looking for a reason to go back, it was a wonderful experience all around. Epic salad bar. Mashed potatoes were really good as well.

Felt rushed to order and to eat because another party had a reservation 1 hr 15 minutes after mine. My food was average--shrimp looked like they had been frozen too long. Dinner partner's steak cooked very nicely. No rolls--blamed on Friday's dinner crowd. Never get but 2 anyway. Not the Planks best night. Probably took in plenty of money but wondered how many folks thought their dinner was like mine.

Outstanding appetizers. I tried ALL but the bacon wrapped scallops at the company Christmas party dinner. Must have been great because my coworkers didn't share them w me. Big steak seasoned deliciously. Steak sauce would have insulted it. NEEDED 1 more server instead of 2 in a dedicated party room of 30 people. The 2 servers did the best they could under the circumstances. Outstanding servers. All food came hot once the ball got rolling. A testimony to the cooks and kitchen staff !! Not easy to deliver to a large group quickly. Key lime pie Outstanding. I love independently owned restaurants like this. If you live in Greenville, skip the chain restaurants and come here at least once. You be glad you did.Parking: Park on street or in lot next to restaurant. Stay out of piggly wiggly lot.

My husband and I have ate here several times in the past and everything was great, however this past Friday night was not a good time. Food was great. The service could have been alot better, and it was chilly inside and the cook, went off . Cursing and ranting and raving so loud you could here him all out in the dining room. It was my husband's retirement and Birthday celebration. We were with others that had never ate there. It's almost an hour drive. Guess we need to change restaurants.

I’ve heard lots of good things about this place. Apparently, my wife and I came on the wrong day. It wasn’t that busy in the dinning area. No waiting to get seated, however they did have a party. I’m guessing they were understaffed. This place is overrated. We should have ate somewhere in Greenville but decided to give Farmville a chance.Let’s start off with the ambience of the place. It was nice. The dining area was simple. They had a nice bar area and outdoor seating. They had live music. We didn’t get served right away. In fact, I was ready to get our own drinks because no one came to our table. The wine selection isn’t great. The salad bar was open, but we didn’t know you were only allowed one trip. So make sure you load up that plate. The bacon wrap scallop appetizer was delicious but you only get six small pieces the size of an average grape. Our food took forever to get to the table and when it did, the food tasted bland or dry. I always order a filet minion at new places to see if I could find that juicy buttery taste I once got from Fleming’s in Raleigh. I was disappointed. I ordered medium rare, I got rare… literally. It didn’t have any flavor. The baked potato was dry. My wife got the ribeye medium rare, it too was bland. No flavor. Our waitress was no longer available because she was tending to the party. Some other lady was nice and tried to comfort us. She even gave me a small discount for my steak. Overall, terrible experience. We won’t be back.
