The staff was very pleasant! They ran out of chicken and sides on a Saturday night. That was a bumner.
This is a beat up, frumpy looking place hooked onto a Citgo station. (Don't use your GPS for directions, or you'll be the one going in a circle. Just know - it is directly across from Asheville airport). The frumpiness does not improve in the inside - there may be customers - or not. You might see an employee or not. The first thing you WILL see is a sign telling you if you want fried chicken you will have to wait 30 minutes for it. Aha - a clue. The reason you must wait 30 minutes is because that is how long it takes to make honest to goodness real life fried chicken. Yep, just like in ‘the olden days'. None of that partially cooked heavily breaded frozen stuff. Lightly floured and cooked to order in super fresh scalding hot grease - for a nice crunch with a juicy tender inside. So either wait for it or - now that you know - do what we do which is call ahead. Or order the ‘cue - freshly smoked and chopped by Bubba himself. Or another BBQ miracle - his smoked brisket. He doesn't always have it, but when he does - YOWZA! There's always a huge roast beef out, and plenty of Southern style (interpret that as over cooked) vegetables, yummy yeast rolls and piping hot hush puppies. Even the iced tea - teeth achingly sweet - is homemade. Oh - and free soft serve ice cream for dessert. So yes it's' frumpy, and service isn't up to your expectations - but you go here for the FOOD. And once you do - the rest fades into oblivion. Just go - you'll see.
On the side of a gas station. Reminds me of a small town Cafe, not fancy. Not a tourist place, more of a working man's place. Homestyle cooking would be a good description of the food. Lots of food for the money. Family run, nice people.
This was a delightful surprise! I flew into the Ashville airport and was looking for dinner closeby. The best roast beef that I have had in years. Others were raving about the fried chicken-takes 20-30 minutes cuz they make it fresh to order. Mac and cheese was outstanding. Green beens a little sweet. And complimentary soft serve iced cream. Staff was a bit diorganized and slow as molasses, but this added to the charm. Friendly as can be.
Very good food especially the fried chicken. Order it ahead of time it takes 30 minutes, but worth the wait.
Circle B Ranch BBQ is the place to go if you want good food. The restaurant has a warm, country feel to it. There isn't one thing on their menu that I haven't loved. They have BBQ, chicken (they prepare fresh for EVERY order), roast beef, and more. ALL of their sides are delicious, but I do have to say that my wife and I are in love with the fried okra. We take a large order to go every time we go. I seem to always get the fried chicken all of the time, but that's because the skin on the chicken is impeccable. Plus, you get FREE soft serve ice cream with every meal. Bubba, the owner, is a friendly gentleman and a pleasure to be around. If you haven't been, GO! If you have been, GO AGAIN!
I love finding the "local" spots to eat and this place didn't let me down. I had the roast beef lunch special (check out the picture) and it was amazing. Lunch plate with drink for around 10 bucks was a huge value. The staff and owners were extremely pleasant and greeted every customer like they'd been there 100 times.
Great food. Big portions. Just be prepared for a slow staff, they keep a lean crew on hand they are hard working though
Wants some tasty food then come here.
Weird place. We won't be coming back. The food was pretty unremarkable, their ordering system was weird. It almost seemed like they changed from a counter/buffet style system, over to the staff bringing you your food so they could get some tips. Weird atmosphere.

I thought it was pretty good, but I felt like half of it was out of a can. While I don't expect barbecue restaurants to grow their own vegetables and beef out back, I thought it could have been up just a little better.
The food was really good. The portions were great for the price. The people were friendly.
Very friendly staff the food is really good, southern bbq. All the sides were cooked very well.
Love them! Food and staff are excellent!
