Never had a bad meal. We go very often. Their food is great! Update: Dec 2024 still as good as the first day I went!
I went here recently (not my 1st time) for my mom's 80th birthday. I ordered the brisket burger & I was sincerely disappointed in the flavor, quality, & texture. It was dry & had a lot of fat on it. The service & food have continually gone down hill over the past couple years.

The shrimp was crappie the breading is awful the service was awful I mean serving you and not bringing the condiments with your food but waiting on several people after telling you I'll be right back while your food gets cold

The bbq actually made me sad inside. Aren't smoked brisket and pulled pork supposed to taste... *smoked*? The homemade mac n cheese tastes like it's made with velveeta. The fried pickles and fried okra were actually very good, and your ranch dressing is on point 👌 We had great service, though. Super nice staff.

On our way back from Tennessee, we stopped at Fat Buddies Ribs & BBQ, drawn in by the hype around their famous ribs. Having never tried real American ribs before, I was excited to see if they were as amazing as everyone says. I went all-in with "The Rack Attack" – a full rack of smoked baby back ribs served with fries and cole slaw.
The ribs were hands down the best I've ever tasted. The glaze was incredibly flavorful. It was truly the star of the meal and well worth the stop. The portion was massive, too! The fries were okay, and the cole slaw and garlic bread were both enjoyable sides, but the ribs were absolutely unmatched.I also tried their fried okra, which, although interesting, didn’t quite suit my taste. But if you’re outside the U.S. and curious about authentic American BBQ, these ribs are a must-try. Even my cousin, with his refined palate, agreed that these were some of the best ribs he’s ever had. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to dive into American BBQ!

I can’t recommend visiting it 100%, but most likely it’s due to my culinary preferences.
There are a huge number of visitors, this is clearly a popular place in the city.
But.
1. I didn’t like the food at this place at all. With all due respect to the cooks, this is absolutely not what I would like to eat. It can be eaten, it is edible and maybe even a little tasty, but with a huge amount of fat and sugar. In everything. Absolutely everything.
2. Service. Very slow. You can’t call this kind of service bad, the waitress was very responsive and also pregnant, but everything just took a very long time to be served.
And you come there hungry, reading the description of the dishes on the menu and imagining everything so delicious. You've been waiting a long time for this food. And when they bring everything, it turns out it’s not so tasty and it becomes doubly offensive.
The only thing I really liked was the way this place was set up. There are a lot of interesting things in every room. There are a lot of seats and the halls are spacious.
Vegetarian options: Very unlikely
Dietary restrictions: It is doubtful that anything can be selected for any diet
Parking: Sooo many places
Kid-friendliness: Yes, there were a lot of children and they obviously liked it there
Wheelchair accessibility: No problem for wheelchair users

Very disappointed. MY brisket was like 3 pieces of half cooked hotel bacon...I don't believe it had ever seen a smoker(unless the cook smokes) . Wife's pulled pork had no smoke either...looked like it had been boiled, then broiled. The bake beans, Brunswick stew and French fries were good. Good sweet tea. Waitress did a good job serving us. Wish I had taken some pictures. I will post some of a brisket i just smoked so maybe Fat Buddy can see what it should look like.

The tangy mustard made the meaty goodness of the ribs heavenly. Very homey and delicious sides.

Would like to rate a 5. I am a thicker cut brisket person. What I ordered was thin slices. It was good but not how I like it. Maybe I ordered the wrong item.
