2 days ago I visited the subway shop on Georgia Avenue just as you're getting into Franklin North Carolina.
I watched as the most miserly amount of shredded cheese was sprinkled on my sub and then when it came to the black olives, this dude was actually counting to make sure that no more than 12 slices landed on my foot long sub. He said they were focusing more on portion control. Never have I seen any sub artists in more than 25 years of visiting Subways all over the country start worrying about how many black olives get put on a sub.
Subway already has a problem of customers leaving in droves. Someone might ought to tell this dude that both Jersey Mike's and Firehouse have set up storefronts in Franklin. Yeah, we got some options now and this bizarre Olive Nazi might want to huddle with his manager to decide what their priorities are going to be.
I'm going to chalk this visit as being just some anally retentive guy and not reflective of subways in general. Let's face it there's almost as many Subways in the Southeast as there are Dollar General stores but if this trend continues, I'm more than happy to start visiting Blimpy, Firehouse Subs, or Jersey Mike while this dude happily counts out his Olive slices! GEEZZZ

We came in for an early lunch, just after 11. There were 3 people in front of me, I don’t know what the deal was but the lady was beyond frazzled, borderline frantic, even tho everyone was friendly. Once it was finally my turn, I asked for my sandwich toasted even tho she burned the last guys order😂 then she never toasted it and asked what veggies I wanted so I just went with it…
All in all, it took 40 minutes before I sat down with food. Food quality was subpar but I think that’s just the sub-Way. Also, does anyone remember $5 footlongs?? When did they become $15footlongs… lol
